Ítem Acceso abierto (Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2015) Romero Cuica, Haydeé Concepción; Galvez Ramirez, Carlos MichellThe objective of this study was to determine if there is a relationship between the frequency of Cleft Lip and Palate (CLP) and the risk factors in neonates recorded at the "Carlos Lanfranco La Hoz" Hospital between 2005 and 2013, in the Puente Piedra district, Lima - Peru. Materials and Methods: The study was observational, descriptive, and retrospective. The research was conducted at the "Carlos Lanfranco La Hoz" Hospital and involved reviewing 41 medical records of neonates and their respective mothers registered between 2005 and 2013. The population consisted of all medical records of neonates with Cleft Lip and Palate and their respective mothers at the "Carlos Lanfranco La Hoz" Hospital from 2005 to 2013. The sample was obtained based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria of the study, with evaluations of the medical records of the neonates diagnosed with CLP (41 records) and their mothers, based on data from the Hospital's Statistics Unit during 2005-2013. Results: The frequency of Cleft Lip and Palate was highest in Grade III with 65.85%, followed by Grade II with 24.39%, and Grade I with 9.75%. The male sex was more affected, comprising 70.73%, while 29.27% were female. No statistically significant association was found between CLP and the sex of the newborn. For variables such as family history, age of the parents, diseases during the first trimester of pregnancy, and the consumption of drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes as risk factors for CLP, no significant statistical associations were found. Newborns with CLP were more frequently born to first-time mothers, but no statistically significant association was found. The nutritional status of the mothers was mostly inadequate at 80.49%, but no statistically significant association was found between CLP and maternal nutritional status.Ítem Acceso abierto (Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2012) Mauricio Yanavilca, Daniela Shirley; Orderique Torres, Luis FernandoObjective: To determine the risk factors for intrauterine fetal death at the María Auxiliadora Support Hospital from 2005 to 2010. Therefore, evaluating cardiovascular risk (CVR) in asymptomatic individuals who present risk factors is the main strategy. However, there is a need to identify new biomarkers that facilitate identification. RDW is known for its association with cardiovascular diseases, and research suggests a prognostic value for RDW. The objective was to investigate whether there is an association between cardiovascular risk and red cell distribution width (RDW) in occupational patients from the “Laura Calle Ibérico” polyclinic. Methods: The sample consisted of 201 occupational patients from the Laura Calle Ibérico polyclinic. The HEARTS application from PAHO was used to calculate CVR, and RDW, cholesterol, glucose, and other demographic data were collected on a data collection form. Results: No significant association was found between RDW and CVR (P=0.345), or between RDW, CVR, and cholesterol (P=0.97). However, an association was found between RDW, CVR, and age (P=0.000), RDW, CVR, and blood pressure (P=0.04), diabetes (P=0.00), and smoking habits (P=0.01). Furthermore, 23% of patients are at risk of developing cardiovascular issues within 10 years if corrective measures are not taken.Ítem Acceso abierto Comparative study of risk factors, prevalence and types of family violence in adolescents, among an I.E. from the Lima region and an I.E. of the Apurímac region, 2017(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-09-17) Huamaní Cortez, Roxana Rosario; Olivos Aranda, Norma Ninoska; Alcántara Chávez, Ana ConsueloThe objective was to compare the risk factors, prevalence, and types of family violence in adolescents between a school in the Lima region and another in the Apurímac region in 2017. This issue is often overlooked, potentially causing long-term damage. Furthermore, people are often unaware of ergonomics. In the workplace, several factors need to be considered when performing tasks; failure to do so may lead to ergonomic risk factors, which are workplace conditions that identify physical and psychological injuries resulting from job demands, increasing the likelihood of damage. Studies indicate that 97% of low back pain cases affect administrative staff, who spend long hours seated, putting additional strain on the spine. They may also suffer musculoskeletal injuries in other areas of the body, which in some cases can lead to work incapacity.Ítem Acceso abierto Ergonomic risk factors and quality of life in nursing staff from Saint Joseph Hospital of Callao, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-06-14) Horigome Rodriguez, Cynthia Araseli; Vera Arriola, Juan AméricoErgonomics applied to the workplace considers not only biomechanical load but also environmental conditions that interfere with the proper performance of activities, thus being present in any working condition. Health professionals are exposed to various ergonomic risk factors for occupational health, partly due to direct contact with patients, but also because of the particularities of the job. Among the most common physical risk factors are postural alterations, repetitive movements, prolonged postures, and improper handling of tools or implements used in the workplace. Exposure to these risk factors can lead to musculoskeletal disorders. Therefore, ergonomic risk factors—the likelihood of suffering damage or injury due to conditions directly associated with the workplace—are not foreign to this group and tend to be high. Preventive measures should aim to reduce ergonomic risk to safeguard the worker's physical health as well as other affected areas.Ítem Acceso abierto Ergonomic risk level and musculoskeletal disorders in teachers at the i.e.p “Pedro Enrique Gonzales Soto”, Ate 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-06-16) Centeno Soto, Beatriz Vilma; Arrieta Córdova, Andy FreudErgonomic risks lead to musculoskeletal disorders, especially from forced postures, repetitive movements, continuous force application, and manual load handling at the workplace. This study focuses on musculoskeletal disorders as the most frequent occupational health threat, as they often go unnoticed until the pain becomes chronic.Ítem Acceso abierto Ergonomic Risks and Musculoskeletal Disorders in Workers of CAR MIXTO San Miguel, Lima 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-11-22) Mallma Castro, Brando; Bejarano Ambrosio, Miriam JuvitThe research aimed to determine the relationship between ergonomic risks and musculoskeletal disorders.
