En la última década, la incidencia de este padecimiento ha mostrado un incremento significativo, afectando tanto a áreas urbanas como rurales. Objetivo: determinar cómo el conocimiento sobre el cáncer de mama se relaciona con las prácticas preventivas en las usuarias de consultorio de ginecología. Método: el estudio se despliega mediante metodología cuantitativa aplicada de diseño no experimental de corte transversal con método hipotético deductivo. La muestra será de 90 usuarias que acudan al consultorio de ginecología de un hospital. Se empleará un cuestionario como técnica y herramienta de recopilación de datos para la evaluación del conocimiento sobre el cáncer de mama y para las prácticas preventivas haciendo un total de 30 interrogantes las cuales tienen una confiabilidad promedio de 0.838 lo cual es alta. Los resultados serán resueltos mediante el análisis de los datos de la muestra, los cuales serán procesados utilizando el programa SPSS 25.0 en conjunción con la plataforma Excel. La síntesis de los resultados y la creación de tablas y gráficos que faciliten su interpretación permitirán la formulación de conclusiones y sugerencias pertinentes.Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of a nursing intervention program in the care of elderly adults residing in nursing homes to prevent unnecessary emergency hospitalizations(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-11-25) Gazani Meza, Meri; Vilchez Sullon, Santos; Pérez Siguas, Rosa EvaObjective: To systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of a nursing intervention program for elderly care in nursing homes to prevent unnecessary emergency hospitalizations. Materials and Methods: An observational and retrospective systematic review of national and international research articles was conducted, obtained through searches in the following databases: Epistemonikos, PubMed, Elsevier, SciELO, ScienceDirect, and Open Access. These articles were selected for having undergone a critical reading, using the GRADE evaluation to identify their level of evidence. Results: It was observed that, when selecting systematic reviews, the following results were found: 30% (3/10) correspond to the United States (U.S.), 40% (4/10) to Australia, 10% (1/10) to Finland, 10% (1/10) to Singapore, and 10% (1/10) to South Korea. Conclusions: 50% of the reviewed evidence demonstrates the effectiveness of nursing intervention programs for elderly care in nursing homes to prevent unnecessary emergency hospitalizations.Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of manual washing compared to automatic washing in cleaning surgical medical instruments(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-08-04) Torres Ocampo, Maribel Yesica; Abarca Diaz, Carmen Monica; Gamarra Bustillos, CarlosObjective: Analyze the evidence on the effectiveness of manual washing compared to automatic washing in cleaning surgical medical instruments. Materials and Methods: Quantitative type of study. Design: Systematic, observational and retrospective review, which synthesizes the results of multiple primary investigations. They are an essential part of evidence-based nursing due to their rigorous methodology, identifying relevant studies to answer specific questions of clinical practice, the search has been restricted to articles with full text, and the selected articles were subjected to critical reading. using the grade system to determine its strength and quality of evidence Results: In the final selection, 10 articles were chosen, we found that 80% affirm that automatic washing is more effective than manual washing, likewise 10% indicate that washing manual is effective, in the same way the 10% indicate that manual and automated washing is effective in cleaning instruments. Conclusions: It was evident in the research reviewed that there is effectiveness in automated washing, thus reducing the bacterial load and being safer to achieve an adequate sterilization procedure.Ítem Acceso abierto Efficacy of central venous catheters impregnated with antiseptics and/or anti-bacterials for the prevention of bloodstream infections in patients across different services(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-07-07) Cajo Luque, Carla Roxana; Castro Lecca, Jose Luis; Gamarra Bustillos, CarlosObjectives: Determine the effectiveness of the central venous catheter impregnated with antiseptics and/or antimicrobials in preventing bloodstream infections in patients. Methodology: The systematic review of the 9 scientific articles found on the effectiveness of the central venous catheter impregnated with antiseptics and/or antimicrobials in the prevention of bloodstream infections in patients, were found in the following databases Cochrane, Lilacs, Scielo , Medline Pubmed, all of them were analyzed according to the Grade scale to determine their strength and quality of evidence. Results: Of the 9 articles reviewed, 56% (5/9) show the effectiveness of the central venous catheter impregnated with antiseptics and/or antimicrobials in preventing blood flow. While 33% (3/9) show that it is not effective, 11% (1/9) are indifferent to the study carried out. Materials and methods: Quantitative approach, non-experimental, cross-sectional and correlational design. The population will be represented by 40 nurses who work in the emergency area. The survey will be the technique used and the instruments used will be two questionnaires. The patient safety culture questionnaire consists of 42 items and includes 5 dimensions: safety culture, communication, teamwork, management and direction, and supervision. The adverse event prevention questionnaire consists of 17 items and includes 4 dimensions: errors in documentation, care procedure, clinical administration and medication errors. Both instruments have acceptable validity and reliability values. The study was quantitative, exploratory descriptive design, and therefore novel at the mentioned center. It was cross-sectional, with non-probabilistic sampling. The Rating Scale was used as the instrument, applied only once with informed consent. The degree of satisfaction among patients with type II diabetes who attended the Program was determined, with nearly all (99.35%) being satisfied. In the "Nurse's treatment of the patient" dimension, more than half (57.42%) of the patients were moderately satisfied. In the "Technical quality of care" dimension, a little less than half (47.74%) of the patients were satisfied, and the other half was divided between dissatisfied (27.74%) and satisfied (24.52%). In the "Physical environment where care is given," two-thirds (69.03%) of the patients were dissatisfied, with no patients being satisfied. In the "Continuity of nursing care" dimension, all patients were dissatisfied. Patients with COVID-19 have been taken as a study element; for which we try to define the socioeconomic characteristics of the patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. This project seeks to provide the nursing community with a discussion tool to adequately characterize possible vulnerabilities of patients with covid 19 within the framework of promoting preventive health. Objective: To describe the socioeconomic characteristics of patients with COVID-19 who are admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of a National Hospital, in Lima, in the period August-November 2021. MATERIALS AND METHODS: the research has an Inductive – Deductive method. Quantitative, descriptive approach, with descriptive cross-sectional design. The population is 60 patients admitted to the ICU from August - November at the Ate Vitarte Emergency Hospital for which inclusion and exclusion criteria are applied; The instrument to be used is the questionnaire and the technique is the survey.
