Ítem Acceso abierto Efficacy of dabigatran versus warfarin in reducing thromboembolic complications in patients undergoing catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-03-25) Caballero Carbajal, Danitza Jaquelyn; Farfán Pesantes, Romy Natalie; Gamarra Bustillos, CarlosThe present study is a quantitative observational and retrospective systematic review, subjected to critical selection, using the Grade evaluation system to identify the degree of evidence, found in the following databases: Epistemonikos, PubMed, Elsevier, Sciencedirect, Wiley OnlineLibrary. The 10 articles systematically reviewed, 10% (n= 1/10) are meta-analysis, 20% (n=2/10) are systematic review, 10% (n=2/10) are case control, 60% ( n= 6/10) are cohort studies. The results of the evidence found, 50% (n=5/10) (18, 19, 22, 24, 25) indicate that the effectiveness of dabigatran versus warfarin to reduce thromboembolic complications in patients undergoing fibrillation catheter ablation headset are similar. 40% (n=2/10) (17, 21, 23,26) indicate that warfarin is more effective than dabigatran in reducing thromboembolic complications in patients undergoing catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation. 10% (n=1/10) (20) indicate that dabigatran is more effective than warfarin in reducing thromboembolic complications in patients undergoing catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation. It is thus concluded that dabigatran and warfarin have similar efficacy in reducing thromboembolic complications in patients undergoing catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation.
