The population will be made up of the parents of a health facility of the DIRIS Lima Norte, during the months of October to November 2023. Said establishment has a total of 200 Autism patients, counting to date 80 parents, who are the total population. Methodological Design: The type of research will be basic. Design will be observational, descriptive, correlational, prospective and cross-sectional. The Zarit questionnaire will be used to evaluate the caregiver burden variable and the parental stress questionnaire for the stress level variable, both with acceptable reliability and validity values. The technique to collect data will be surveys. Statistical processing and data analysis: a descriptive analysis will be carried out, expressed in frequency tables; the inferential analysis will be carried out using parametric (Pearson's Correlation) or non-parametric (Chi-square) tests.Publicación Acceso abierto Características clínicas del niño con trastorno del espectro autista y calidad de vida del cuidador en un centro terapéutico, Ancash – Chimbote, 2025(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2025-09-30) Ramírez Epquin, Ana Lith; Puma Chombo, Jorge EloyLa calidad de vida muestra una gran deficiencia si esta se encuentra afectada la salud física o mental, en especial en aquellas personas que tienen que cuidar de otros como los cuidadores de niños con autismo y en especial la gravedad de las características clínicas que pueden tener los pequeños como su nivel de autismo. La investigación tiene como objetivo, “Determinar la asociación de características clínicas en el niño con el trastorno del espectro autista entre calidad de vida en su cuidador en un centro terapéutico, Ancash- Chimbote, 2025”. Primero se hizo uso de una hoja de recopilación de datos de las características clínicas del niño con autismo y otra para las características sociodemográficas, por último, el cuestionario SF-12 para valorar la calidad de vida de los cuidadores. Con método de estudio hipotético- deductivo, de enfoque cuantitativo. Tipo de estudio aplicada, con diseño no experimental de corte transversal. Población de 80 cuidadores. El análisis de datos se hizo a través, del programa SPSS. Dando como resultado, el 83.8% de los cuidadores eran del sexo femenino y 16.3% masculino, en número de hijos, el 12.50% tenían más de 3, 17.50% tenían 3 hijos, y el 36.25% dos hijos, en el parentesco, el 70% eran las madres y 13.75% padres, en nivel de autismo, el 48.8% eran del nivel 1 y el 37.5% del nivel 2, en comunicación, el 76.3% verbal, y el 23.6% no verbal, en calidad de vida del cuidador, 55% estaban en la categoría de buena calidad de vida y el 45% en mala calidad de vida. Se finalizo con que, no se encontró relación significativa entre características clínicas del niño con trastorno del espectro autista y calidad de vida del cuidador.Ítem Acceso abierto Coping with stress and emotional overload in parents of children with autism(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-10-01) Astocóndor Castañeda, Tania del Rosario; Fernández Rengifo, Werther FernandoObjective: To determine coping with stress and emotional overload in parents of children with autism at the Carabayllo Mental Health Center, from April to July 2023. Materials and methods: Quantitative correlational study. The population will be made up of 100 parents with children who have been diagnosed with Autism between 6 months and a year prior to the start of the study and attend the Children and Adolescents Unit of the CSMC Carabayllo. The instrument that will be applied for emotional overload is the Zarit scale made up of 22 items grouped into three dimensions that will measure the level of overload of the family caregiver: impact of care, interpersonal relationship, self-efficacy expectations, and a level of reliability of the instrument of Cronbach's alpha 0.92. And for coping with stress, we will use the Lazarus and Folkman coping scale. Throughout the investigation, a research conduct will be maintained in accordance with ethical principles.Ítem Acceso abierto Dietary intake and anthropometric nutritional assessment in children with autism spectrum disorder from a special basic educational center in San Borja - 2020.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-12-22) Baquerizo Tarazona, Karen Andrea; Díaz León, Macarena Ivette; Sánchez Charcape, María HildaObjective To investigate the relationship between the nutritional characteristics of dietary intake and the nutritional status of students with autism spectrum disorder at the Special Basic Educational Center of San Borja, Lima. 2020. Material and method: Cross-sectional descriptive correlational study with an analytical approach. A nutritional evaluation was carried out on 32 children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, of which M=28 (87.5%) and F= 4 (12.5%), their weight, height, age and Body Mass Index were also taken into account. A 24-hour recall format was also used that included food allergies and/or food intolerances, and the weighing of each food they brought as part of their lunch box. Results: A descriptive analysis of the dietary intake variables and the anthropometric nutritional status of the children was carried out. Sperman's Rho Reliability Coefficient was established to determine the level of relationship between the variables, which is 0.666, meaning that there is a moderate positive correlation, that is, the variables are directly proportional, they go in the same direction. (Annex 5) Thus Likewise, a (bilateral) significance of 0.000 was obtained, lower than the significance level (T) of 0.05 (0.000<0.05; Acceptance Level = 95%: Critical value Z=1.96) consequently the null hypothesis Ho is rejected and the alternative hypothesis H1 is accepted as true. In relation to the anthropometric nutritional status, 31.3% are normal and the other is at risk of being overweight, 28.1% are overweight, 6.3%, which represents 2 students, are obese and only 3.1% are at risk of being thin. Objective: To describe the characteristics of children diagnosed with autism at Hospital II EsSalud Cañete between 2018 and 2023. Material and Methods: A quantitative, non-experimental, descriptive cross-sectional study with a sample of 80 children diagnosed with autism. Medical records provided by the Hospital II EsSalud Cañete of the Rebagliati Network were used. Results: The average age was 6.08 years, and the average age of diagnosis was 3.06 years. 78.8% were male. 93.7% had a delay in language development, 90.0% had behavioral problems, and 86.3% exhibited repetitive habits. Among the profiles, the cognitive profile was moderate at 83.8%, the sensory profile at 63.7%, the psychosocial profile at 60.0%, and the behavioral profile at 68.8%. Conclusion: There is a need for a comprehensive evaluation of each child with ASD, considering their individual characteristics, prenatal history, and sociodemographic context, in order to provide treatments tailored to their needs.Ítem Acceso abierto Risk factors of neurodevelopment and autism spectrum disorder in children at a private rehabilitation center. For this, a data registration sheet created by the researcher and the modified M-Chat questionnaire for the detection of autism in young children (M-Chat) validated in Peru will be used. The method is hypothetical-deductive, non-experimental, with a correlational, descriptive cross-sectional design.Ítem Acceso abierto Risk of vaccines containing thimerosal being associated with autism spectrum disorder in children(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-07-08) Zelada Aliaga, Erika Pamela; Glenni Garay, Zarely ZabeliObjective: Systematize the evidence about the risk of vaccines containing Thimerosal being associated with autism spectrum disorder in children. Materials and Methods: Retrospective quantitative systematic review, subjected to critical selection. The definitive selection of scientific articles synthesizes the results of multiple primary investigations, which were found in the following databases: Decs, Bvs, PubMed, Cochrane Plus and Scielo. The search has been restricted to articles with full text, and the 10 selected articles were subjected to critical reading, using the GRADE system to identify their level of evidence. Results: 50% (n=05/10) of the scientific evidence consulted; which have high evidence, indicate that the Thimerosal contained in vaccines is not associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder, thus demonstrating that vaccines are safe and reduce the high rates of childhood morbidity and mortality, therefore, they improve the child's quality of life. . Conclusion: The study of the 10 scientific articles reviewed determined that there is no risk that vaccines containing Thimerosal are associated with autism spectrum disorder.
