Introducción: La prematuridad afecta a un número significativo de recién nacidos en todo el mundo y necesitan cuidados especializados para promover un neurodesarrollo adecuado. El papel de la enfermera en la unidad de neonatología es crucial, ya que debe tener conocimientos y habilidades específicos para proporcionar una atención integral que promueva el neurodesarrollo de los bebés prematuros. Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el conocimiento y la práctica sobre cuidado neurodesarrollo del neonato prematuro en enfermeras del servicio de neonatología. Métodos: Esta investigación utilizará el método hipotético deductivo, cuantitativo, no experimental, transversal y correlacional. La población estará constituida por 80 profesionales del servicio de neonatología de un hospital público de Lima; se emplearán dos cuestionarios, el “Cuestionario sobre los cuidados centrados del neurodesarrollo del prematuro” que consta de 20 preguntas y la “Guía de observación estructurada para valorar la práctica del cuidado neurodesarrollo del neonato prematuro”, que cuenta con 40 preguntas. Asimismo, se utilizará el programa estadístico SPSS versión 26 para procesar y analizar los datos; y para probar las hipótesis del estudio se empleará la prueba Rho de Spearman.

La prematuridad representa un desafío significativo tanto para el recién nacido como para la familia, por la alta morbimortalidad y un riesgo potencial de la alteración del neurodesarrollo a corto y largo plazo. Es crucial evitar la exposición a estímulos excesivos, como luces brillantes y ruidos fuertes. Además, facilitar el contacto piel a piel entre el bebé y los padres, conocido como método canguro, puede fortalecer el vínculo afectivo y proporcionar seguridad. Mantener un entorno tranquilo que reduzca el estrés y fomente un desarrollo cerebral saludable es esencial para apoyar el bienestar y el crecimiento óptimos del bebé. El objetivo de esta investigación es “determinar la relación entre el conocimiento y la práctica de enfermería en los cuidados centrados en el neurodesarrollo de prematuros en la unidad de cuidados intensivos neonatales de un hospital en Lima para el año 2024”. Se optará por un enfoque cuantitativo; con un diseño aplicado; diseño correlacional. 70 enfermeras que trabajan en la unidad de cuidados intensivos neonatales participaran en este estudio, y se aplicaran dos instrumentos como la encuesta y la guía de observación para medir las variables. Se utilizará el coeficiente de correlación de Spearman para corroborar las hipótesis y se presentarán mediante tablas y/o gráficos los resultados.

Conocimiento y práctica del personal de enfermería sobre los cuidados centrados en el neurodesarrollo del prematuro en un hospital de Lima, 2024

El presente proyecto tiene como objetivo:” Determinar la relación que existe entre conocimiento y práctica del personal de Enfermería sobre los Cuidados centrados en el Neurodesarrollo del prematuro”, un estudio cuantitativo, de tipo aplicada, cuyo diseño es no experimental, descriptivo, correlacional y transversal; la población estará conformada por 30 participantes (personal profesional y técnico de enfermería) que laboran en el servicio de Neonatología del Hospital Marino Molina Sippa; la técnica será la encuesta y los instrumentos serán: Un cuestionario para la variable “Conocimiento sobre los cuidados del Neurodesarrollo” desarrollado por Mosqueda y adaptado por Quispe en el 2018, el cual obtuvo un Alfa de Cronbach, de 0,813 siendo altamente confiable. Además, de una lista de Cotejo para la variable “Práctica sobre los cuidados del Neurodesarrollo” desarrollo por Quispe en el año 2018, con una confiabilidad de 0,762. El procesamiento de datos se efectuará a través de técnicas descriptivas y frecuencias porcentuales, para el análisis estadístico correlacional se aplicará la prueba de normalidad de Shapiro Wilk para determinar el uso de pruebas no paramétricas (Correlación Rho de Spearman) o paramétricas (Correlación de Pearson) y contrastar las hipótesis de estudio.

Conocimientos de las enfermeras y su relación con la práctica en el cuidado del neurodesarrollo del prematuro en la unidad de cuidados intensivos neonatales, del Hospital de nivel III MINSA

El presente proyecto de investigación, será ejecutado en el ámbito hospitalario, en este, se recopilará información referida con los cuidados que brindan los profesionales de enfermería en su actuar diario, a través de la recopilación de información que permitirá optimizar el conocimiento y a su vez mejorar la práctica asistencial del personal profesional de enfermería en el cuidado del neurodesarrollo de los neonatos hospitalizados en la unidad de cuidados intensivos. Objetivo: Es determinar la relación entre conocimientos y la práctica de las enfermeras en el cuidado del neurodesarrollo del prematuro en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatales. Materiales y métodos: El estudio a realizar es de tipo descriptivo de naturaleza No Experimental y Correlacional, con un enfoque cuantitativo. La muestra estará conformada por 85 profesionales de enfermería. La técnica a utilizar es la encuesta y los instrumentos que se emplearán son el cuestionario y la guía de observación, aplicados previa firma del consentimiento informado.

Effectiveness of therapeutic massage to promote neurodevelopment in premature newborns

Objective: To systematize the evidence regarding the effectiveness of therapeutic massage in supporting the neurodevelopment of premature newborns. Materials and Methods: An observational and retrospective systematic review synthesizing results from multiple primary studies. Results: The final selection included 10 articles, with 20% (2) from the United States, 20% (2) from Brazil, and 10% (1) each from China, Iran, Australia, Italy, Spain, and Chile. The majority of studies were randomized controlled trials (50%), followed by systematic reviews and meta-analyses (40%) and quasi-experimental studies (10%). Of the 10 articles analyzed, 90% affirmed that therapeutic massage interventions are effective for stable preterm infants, with observable benefits in neuromotor and neurobehavioral development, as well as weight gain. These infants had gestational ages ranging from 29 to 31 weeks, reaching corrected ages of 34 to 37 weeks. Parental involvement was found to enhance the process, while 10% of studies did not consider the intervention effective. Conclusions: The reviewed studies demonstrate the effectiveness of therapeutic massage for premature newborns in improving their neurodevelopment, supporting motor, cognitive development, and overall health.

Knowledge and practice of nursing care in the neurodevelopment of the premature in a hospital in Lima, 2024

The objective of this study will be “to determine the relationship between knowledge and practice of nursing care in the neurodevelopment of premature infants in a hospital in Lima - 2024”. Methodology: The present research employs a quantitative approach, using a cross-sectional design to examine correlations between variables. The sampling method used in this study will be non-probabilistic and for convenience. The research will cover an 80 nurse, during the period from march to May 2024. The data collection process will use a survey methodology and the observation sheet, the first composed of 20 questions. The first comprises 36 items and assesses the Care in the context of premature infants' neurodevelopment", while the second one evaluates the " level of understanding of nurse care in the neurodevelopment of premature babies." It is important to highlight that both instruments were validated in previous studies and adapted for application in the pediatric context.

The admission of premature infants to the neonatal intensive care division makes it easier for nursing specialists to adopt the role of caregivers, discern and prioritize potential difficulties that affect the health of neonates, and initiate actions to enhance results. Thus, these specialists can use their contributions, wisdom and competencies to diagnose and care for patients with real or potential challenges. Interventions focus on regulating stimuli from the larger environment, improving the conditions of the infant's immediate environment, and focusing attention on family well-being. The purpose of this study is to establish the degree of understanding about neurodevelopment and professional execution in the neonatal intensive care section of a private medical institution in Lima by the year 2024. The purpose of this investigation is to explore the connection between knowledge about the neurodevelopment of the premature neonate and the practice of the nursing professional in the neonatal intensive care unit. The methodological approach is quantitative, descriptive and with a correlational design. The selection for this study will be complete, including 15 nurses from the neonatal intensive care area of a private clinic. A certified questionnaire of 20 questions will be implemented to measure knowledge, and a 32-point checklist with binary options will be implemented to evaluate the practice of nursing care.

Level of knowledge about neurodevelopmental care in neonates by the nursing professional, service of the neonatal intensive care unit in a public hospital

Objective: To determine the level of knowledge about neurodevelopment care in neonates by nursing professionals in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Material and method: The research follows a quantitative approach, with a non-experimental observational design, cross-sectional, and descriptive in nature. The population consists of 30 nursing professionals working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. A census sample will be used, as the entire population will be included. The survey technique will be employed, along with a questionnaire that measures the level of knowledge of nurses about neurodevelopment care, which has content validity and expert judgment. The reliability was assessed using Cronbach's alpha coefficient, which resulted in a value of 0.813, indicating that the instrument is reliable. The data will be processed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 26.0, and Excel for Windows 2020 will also be used to input data according to a structured matrix as a database based on the measurement instrument.

For many years, there has been a need for priority care for neonatal patients in danger of death, which causes the nursing professional to assume a special role, this problem has not diminished, and on the other hand, the sequelae in survivors have increased, one of the causes that originates this problem is the lack of equipment, the assigned resources are insufficient, and the lack of training in care for this group of patients is added. The purpose of the study was to determine the level of knowledge of nursing professionals about the care of the neurodevelopment of premature infants hospitalized in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of Hospital II-2 Tarapoto. The methodology is based on a quantitative, descriptive, prospective cross-sectional method. The population consisted of nurses from the neonatal ICU of Tarapoto Hospital 2-II, using 20 verified questionnaires, and then analyzing the results through tables and figures using descriptive statistics, in addition to applying the ethical standards of research.

Maternal malnutrition and its effects on the neonate.

Objectives: To analyze the evidence regarding the influence of maternal malnutrition on the neonate. Materials and Methods: Observational and retrospective systematic review, where the search was restricted to full-text articles, and the selected articles underwent critical reading, using the Grade assessment scale to identify their level of evidence and strength of recommendation, with the final selection being 10 articles. Results: Ten articles from countries such as Cuba, Mexico, and Nigeria were analyzed. Conclusions: From the 10 systematically reviewed articles, it is clearly demonstrated that maternal malnutrition can cause alterations in weight, neurodevelopment, cardiovascular diseases, and metabolic syndrome in the neonate.
