(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-08-25) Usuriaga Flores, Sheyla Jhulissa; Peña Guerrero, Leslie Elizabeth

Knowledge about adherence to treatment and self-care of vascular access in patients with renal failure, Hospital Nacional Dos de Mayo, 2021
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-01-09) Huamán Carrasco, María Luz; Fernández Rengifo, Werther Fernando
The study is descriptive and cross-sectional. Likewise, the sample consisted of 38 patients treated in the hemodialysis unit of the Dos de Mayo National Hospital in the district of Lima. The technique used for data collection was the survey and as an instrument the questionnaire, which evaluated the relationship between the level of knowledge about treatment adherence and central venous catheter self-care: variable level of knowledge about central venous catheter, 11 items were used. ; and, for the central venous catheter self-care variable in hemodialysis patients, 15 items were used. Frequency tables and bar figures were used for the parametric correlation test. Data analysis and processing was done using Microsoft Excel 2013 software. The results indicate that the level of knowledge about venous catheters is significantly related to central venous catheter self-care in hemodialyzed patients. It is important that patients continue to be educated to strengthen their knowledge and encourage self-care practices, which are fundamental aspects for the prevention of complications.

Level of knowledge about self-care of arteriovenous fistula in patients at the San Juan Masías Dialysis Center, Lima – 2020
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-11-29) Cerna Delgado, Yesenia del Pilar; Avila Vargas Machuca, Jeannette Giselle
Chronic kidney disease is a public health problem that is becoming more frequent worldwide. This condition considerably affects the kidneys, causing deficiencies in blood filtration, extensively damaging these organs; For this reason, waste and abundant liquids from the blood are stored in the body, causing other problems in the individual's health; Therefore, it is necessary to start renal replacement treatment such as hemodialysis urgently. For this, it is necessary to create a vascular access such as the arteriovenous fistula that facilitates said treatment. The patient, who has this arteriovenous fistula, needs to know the corresponding care for his arteriovenous fistula in order to avoid complications and guarantee its functioning. Therefore, the objective of the work is: Determine the level of knowledge about self-care of arteriovenous fistula in patients at the San Juan Masías dialysis center - Lima, 2020.
