Conocimiento y prácticas preventivas sobre infecciones respiratorias agudas en madres con niños menores de 3 años que acuden a una clínica de Lima, 2025

Abstract

Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre conocimiento y prácticas preventivas referidas a infecciones respiratorias agudas en madres de niños menores de 3 años de edad, en una clínica de Lima. Materiales y métodos: será una investigación de tipo aplicada, enfoque cuantitativo, diseño observacional, nivel correlacional y corte transversal, con una población total de 80 madres. La técnica será la encuesta, mientras que el instrumento será el cuestionario. Los instrumentos de ambas variables fueron elaborados por Quispe y Sulca; ambos cuentan con validez y confiabilidad. Para el análisis estadístico se presentarán los resultados de las variables y dimensiones, mediante frecuencias y porcentajes en tablas. El análisis inferencial se determinará mediante la prueba de normalidad para posteriormente aplicar prueba paramétrica (correlación de Pearson) y/o no paramétrica (Rho de Spearman).

Objective: To determine the relationship between knowledge and preventive practices related to acute respiratory infections in mothers of children under 3 years of age at a clinic in Lima. Materials and Methods: This will be an applied research study with a quantitative approach, observational design, correlational level, and cross-sectional methodology. The total population will consist of 80 mothers. The technique to be used is a survey, and the instrument will be a questionnaire. The instruments for both variables were developed by Quispe N. and Sulca M. and have been validated and deemed reliable prior to data collection. For statistical analysis, the results of the variables and dimensions will be presented separately using frequencies and percentages in tables and figures. For inferential analysis, a normality test will be conducted to accurately determine the appropriate coefficient to use. However, since the variables are ordinal, there is a possibility that they may not follow a normal distribution. For hypothesis testing, a parametric test (Pearson correlation) and/or a non-parametric test (Spearman's Rho) will be applied.
