Burnout y desempeño laboral del profesional de enfermería de la unidad de cuidados intensivos neonatales de un hospital de Lima, 2025

Abstract

Introducción: Durante los últimos años se ha evidenciado que el burnout se ha incrementado exponencialmente, motivo por el cual se ve afectado el desempeño laboral, sobre todo en los enfermeros (as) que laboran en áreas críticas; puesto que trae consigo dificultades para el desarrollo pleno de las labores asignadas en el ámbito de trabajo. Objetivo: Determinar cómo el Burnout se relaciona con el desempeño laboral del profesional de Enfermería de la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatales en un hospital de Lima en el año 2025. Metodología: Se empleará el método hipotético deductivo, cuantitativo, tipo aplicada, no experimental, correlacional y transversal: en el estudio participarán 80 enfermeras de la UCIN, a las que se le aplicará dos cuestionarios, las cuales ya han sido validados y son confiables. Los resultados obtenidos por medio de los instrumentos se procesarán mediante el programa estadístico SPSS versión 26 y se cuantificará en figuras y tablas de Excel. Finalmente, se establecerá la relación entre las variables a través de la prueba estadística Rho de Spearman.

Introduction: During the last years it has been evidenced that burnout syndrome has increased exponentially, which is the reason why work performance is affected, especially in nursing professionals who work in critical areas; since it brings difficulties for the full development of the tasks assigned in the work environment. Objective: To determine how Burnout is related to the work performance of nursing professionals in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of a hospital in Lima in the year 2025. Methodology: The hypothetical-deductive, quantitative, applied, non-experimental, correlational and cross-sectional method will be used: 80 NICU nurses will participate in the study, to whom two questionnaires will be applied, which have already been validated and are reliable. The results obtained through the instruments will be processed using the statistical program SPSS version 26 and quantified in Excel figures and tables. Finally, the relationship between the variables will be established using Spearman's Rho statistical test.
