Capacidad funcional y actividad física en pacientes con artrosis de rodilla de un centro de terapia física de Lima, periodo 2025

Abstract

Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre la capacidad funcional y actividad física en pacientes con artrosis de rodilla de un centro de terapia física de Lima, periodo 2025. Materiales y Métodos: Esta investigación estuvo conformada por todos los pacientes de la población, que será de 88 personas se utilizó el cuestionario womac y el Cuestionario internacional de actividad física (IPAQ) - versión corta. Resultados: La mayoría de los pacientes pertenece al grupo de 35 a 39 años, representando el 38.6%, hubo una ligera mayoría masculina, representando el 51.1%, el grupo más numeroso presenta leve dificultad, representando el 39.8%, el lado izquierdo es el más afectado, representando el 38.6%, la relación entre el nivel de capacidad funcional y la actividad física es significativa (p = 0.000 < 0.05), con un coeficiente de Spearman de 0.836, entre la dimensión dolor y la variable actividad física es significativa (p = 0.000 < 0.05), con un coeficiente de Spearman de 0.812. Conclusiones: El grupo predominante presenta un nivel de actividad física alto, leve dificultad en la capacidad funcional, reporta un nivel de dolor leve, rigidez leve, una ligera discapacidad y el lado izquierdo es el más afectado y con respecto a la relación entre el nivel de capacidad funcional y la actividad física, se concluye que estas dos variables tienen una relación positiva y fuerte.

Objective: To determine the relationship between functional capacity and physical activity in patients with knee osteoarthritis from a physical therapy center in Lima, period 2025. Materials and Methods: This research included all patients from the population, consisting of 88 people. The WOMAC questionnaire and the short version of the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) were used. Results: The majority of the patients belong to the age group of 35 to 39 years, representing 38.6%, with a slight male majority representing 51.1%. The largest group presents slight difficulty, representing 39.8%, with the left side being the most affected, representing 38.6%. The relationship between the level of functional capacity and physical activity is significant (p = 0.000 < 0.05), with a Spearman coefficient of 0.836. The relationship between the pain dimension and the physical activity variable is significant (p = 0.000 < 0.05), with a Spearman coefficient of 0.812. Conclusions: The predominant group has a high level of physical activity, slight difficulty in functional capacity, reports a low level of pain, slight stiffness, a slight disability, and the left side is the most affected. Regarding the relationship between the level of functional capacity and physical activity, it is concluded that these two variables have a positive and strong relationship.
