Conocimiento sobre efectos adversos de la quimioterapia y la actitud del familiar de pacientes oncológicos del Centro Médico Naval – Callao, 2025

Abstract

Introducción: los efectos adversos (E.A.) del tratamiento quimioterapéutico constituye una grave dificultad común en los pacientes oncológicos que tienen como tratamiento a los químicos citostáticos. En la última década, el aumento de personas con diagnóstico de cáncer se ha elevado, siendo un gran porcentaje que llevan como tratamiento la quimioterapia. Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el conocimiento sobre los efectos adversos de la quimioterapia y la actitud familiar de los pacientes oncológicos Método: la investigación se extiende de acuerdo a un método cuantitativo, de tipo aplicado; de diseño no experimental con corte transversal con metodología hipotética-deductiva. La muestra estará conformada por 201 familiares de pacientes oncológicos que reciben quimioterapia y acudan al Centro Médico Naval. Para el acopio de información, se manejará un cuestionario previamente estructurado, conformado por 40 interrogantes cuya confiabilidad es 0.862 lo cual refleja un alto promedio para ambas variables del estudio. Los resultados estarán determinados mediante el escrutinio de los datos de la muestra, cuyo análisis de información se efectuará mediante el software SPSS versión 26.0 y Excel, permitiendo una interpretación integral mediante gráficos y tablas lo que permitirá llegar a determinar las conclusiones y recomendaciones.

Introduction: The adverse effects (AEs) of chemotherapeutic treatment represent a significant and common challenge among oncology patients undergoing cytostatic drug therapy. Over the past decade, the number of individuals diagnosed with cancer has increased, with a large proportion receiving chemotherapy as their primary treatment. Objective: To determine the relationship between knowledge about the adverse effects of chemotherapy and the family attitude toward oncology patients. Method: This study follows a quantitative approach, applied in nature, employing a non-experimental, cross-sectional design with a hypothetic-deductive methodology. The sample will consist of 201 family members of oncology patients receiving chemotherapy and attending the Naval Medical Center. Data collection will be carried out through a previously structured questionnaire consisting of 40 items, with a reliability coefficient of 0.862, indicating a high level of internal consistency for both study variables. The results will be derived from the analysis of the sample data using SPSS software version 26.0 and Microsoft Excel. This will allow for a comprehensive interpretation through the use of charts and tables, ultimately leading to the formulation of conclusions and recommendations.
