Inteligencia emocional y ansiedad en alumnos de secundaria de un centro educativo de Ate Vitarte, Lima – 2024

Abstract

Se tuvo como finalidad analizar la relación entre la inteligencia emocional y la ansiedad en alumnos de secundaria de un centro educativo de Ate Vitarte. La investigación se desarrolló bajo un método hipotético-deductivo, correlacional, básico y transversal. Se empleó a 234 adolescentes varones y mujeres de primero a quinto de secundaria de la I.E 0032 Raúl Porras Barrenechea, quienes respondieron el Cuestionario de inteligencia emocional (TMSS-24) y el Inventario de ansiedad estado rasgo (STAI). Los hallazgos indicaron que la inteligencia emocional se correlacionó significativamente (p<0.05) con la ansiedad estado (rho=-0.28) y la ansiedad rasgo (rho=-0.12); de la misma forma, las dimensiones percepción emocional se correlacionó con la ansiedad estado (rho=-0.28) y la ansiedad rasgo (rho=-0.48), la comprensión emocional se correlacionó con la ansiedad estado (rho=-0.24) y la ansiedad rasgo (rho=-0.16), y la regulación emocional se correlacionó con la ansiedad estado (rho=-0.21) y la ansiedad rasgo (rho=-0.22). De esta manera, se concluye que la presencia de una inteligencia emocional alta en los adolescentes, conlleva una menor ansiedad estado y rasgo.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between emotional intelligence and anxiety among secondary school students at a school in Ate Vitarte. The research was developed using a hypothetical-deductive, correlational, basic and transversal method. 234 male and female adolescents from first to fifth year of secondary school from I.E 0032 Raúl Porras Barrenechea were used, who answered the Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire (TMSS-24) and the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI). The findings indicated that emotional intelligence was significantly correlated (p<0.05) with state anxiety (rho=-0.28) and trait anxiety (rho=-0.12); Similarly, the dimensions of emotional perception were correlated with state anxiety (rho=-0.28) and trait anxiety (rho=-0.48), emotional understanding was correlated with state anxiety (rho=- 0.24) and trait anxiety (rho=-0.16), and emotional regulation was correlated with state anxiety (rho=-0.21) and trait anxiety (rho=-0.22). Thus, it is concluded that the presence of high emotional intelligence in adolescents leads to lower state and trait anxiety.
