Relación entre la dimensión vertical oclusal y la longitud lineal del pabellón auricular en pacientes atendidos en clínica dental privada de Lima

Abstract

El objetivo de esta investigación fue asociar la dimensión vertical oclusal y el largo del pabellón auricular en personas atendidas en una clínica dental privada de Lima. Metodología correlacional donde se recolectaron datos de una muestra de 100 personas atendidas en una clínica odontológica privada de lima. Se utilizó un vernier digital para obtener las medidas antropométricas de los pacientes, donde se tomó como referencia la superficie inferior de la nariz hacia la superficie del mentón para hallar la DVO, la longitud lineal del pabellón auricular y la distancia ojo oreja (método de knebelman), para poder determinar la DVO y su relación. Como resultado se mostró que los coeficientes de correlación (Rho) resultaron ser positivos y estadísticamente significativos (p < 0.05) entre la DVO, las mediciones del pabellón de la oreja y la distancia entre ojo-oreja. Esto asume encontrarse una relación afirmativa y estadísticamente representativa entre la DVO y las mediciones del tamaño lineal del pabellón auricular y distancia ojo-oreja. En conclusión, se respalda una relación significativa entre la dimensión vertical oclusal y la longitud lineal del pabellón auricular y el método de knebelman. Donde se deja evidencia también que las estructuras crecen de manera sincronizada para mantener la armonía facial.

The objective of this research was to associate the occlusal vertical dimension and the length of the auricle in people treated in a private dental clinic in Lima. Correlational methodology was used where data were collected from a sample of 100 people treated in a private dental clinic in Lima. A digital vernier caliper was used to obtain the anthropometric measurements of the patients, where the inferior surface of the nose towards the surface of the chin was taken as a reference to find the OVD, the linear length of the auricle and the eye-ear distance (Knebelman method), in order to determine the OVD and its relationship. As a result, it was shown that the rating coefficients (Rho) turned out to be positive and statistically significant (p < 0.05) between the OVD, the measurements of the auricle and the eye-ear distance. This will be found to assume an affirmative and statistically representative relationship between the OVD and the measurements of the linear size of the auricle and the eye-ear distance. In conclusion, representative relationship the occlusal vertical dimension, the linear length of the auricle, the Knebelman method is supported. Evidence is also provided that the structures grow synchronously to maintain facial harmony.
