Reacciones adversas por inoculación de vacuna COVID-19 en adultos del distrito de San Juan de Lurigancho – Lima 2023

Abstract

The main objective of the study was to "Identify adverse reactions manifested by adults after COVID-19 vaccination in the district of San Juan de Lurigancho – Lima 2023." The research method was deductive, with a quantitative approach, basic type, non-experimental design, cross-sectional, and descriptive level. The population consisted of adults vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine in the district of San Juan de Lurigancho, and the sample included 384 adults from the same district. Using a survey technique, data collection identified that among the 384 respondents, 6.2% reported gastrointestinal reactions after vaccination, 16.4% reported cardiovascular system effects, 17.8% reported effects on the nervous system, 17.7% on the immune system, 31.7% on the musculoskeletal system, and 10% reported dermatological reactions. Conclusion: The most common adverse reactions reported by adults after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine in the district of San Juan de Lurigancho – Lima in 2023 were related to the musculoskeletal system, nervous system, and immune system.

El objetivo principal del estudio fue “Identificar las reacciones adversas que manifiestan los adultos por inoculación de vacuna COVID-19 del distrito de San Juan de Lurigancho – Lima 2023”. El método de investigación fue deductivo, el enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo básica, el diseño no experimental, de corte transversal y el nivel descriptivo. La población estuvo conformada por adultos inoculados con la vacuna COVID-19 del distrito de San Juan de Lurigancho y la muestra fue de 384 adultos del mismo distrito. Mediante la técnica de encuesta se obtuvo la recolección de datos, se pudo identificar que de los 384 encuestados un 6,2% habían indicado tener reacciones gastrointestinales posterior a la vacunación, un 16,4% indicaron que les afectó el sistema cardiovascular, un 17,8% al sistema nervioso, un 17,7% al sistema inmune, un 31,7% al musculoesqueléticas y por último un 10% indicó haber tenido reacciones dermatológicas. Concluyendo que las reacciones adversas que mayor presencia tuvieron los adultos, posterior a la inoculación de vacuna COVID-19 en el distrito de San Juan de Lurigancho – Lima en el año 2023 fueron: musculoesqueléticas, al sistema nervioso y al sistema inmune.
