Flor de Jamaica (Hibiscus sabdariffa) y los índices antropométricos, presión arterial en los trabajadores del mercado ACOMPA de Ventanilla, 2023

Abstract

Currently, it has been shown that many cases of obesity, overweight, hypertension, and cardiovascular problems affect the population worldwide. For these diseases, studies indicate that Hibiscus sabdariffa decreases body weight, anthropometric indices, and blood pressure. The objective of this research was to determine the effect of hibiscus flower infusion on anthropometric indices and blood pressure in workers at the ACOMPA market. The study method was hypothetical-deductive, with a quantitative approach; the research type was applied; with a pre-experimental design without a control group; longitudinal and comparative level; with a population of 170 workers, with a sample of 84 workers where the sampling was simple random probabilistic; for which an observation guide was used as the instrument for data collection. In the results, significant differences were obtained where a decrease is evident." of BMI, WHR and blood pressure supported by the (p value <0.05) Conclusion, that the infusion of the hibiscus flower has a reducing effect on the anthropometric indices, blood pressure in the workers of the ACOMPA market, supported by the p value <0.05 rejecting the null hypothesis.

En la actualidad, se ha evidenciado que muchos casos de obesidad, sobrepeso, hipertensión y problemas cardiovasculares afectan a la población a nivel mundial. Para estas enfermedades hay estudios que indican que el Hibiscus sabdariffa disminuye el peso corporal, los índices antropométricos, y la presión arterial. El objetivo de esta investigación fue determinar el efecto de la infusión de la flor de Jamaica en los índices antropométricos, presión arterial en los trabajadores del mercado ACOMPA. El método del estudio fue hipotético-deductivo, de enfoque cuantitativo; tipo de investigación fue aplicada; con diseño Pre experimental sin grupo control; de corte longitudinal y nivel comparativo; con una población de 170 trabajadores, con una muestra de 84 trabajadores donde el muestreo fue probabilístico aleatorio simple; para lo cual se utilizó como instrumento una guía de observación para la recolección de datos. En los resultados se obtuvo diferencias significativas donde se evidencia disminución del IMC, ICC y presión arterial respaldado por el (p valor <0,05) Conclusión, que la infusión de la flor de Jamaica tiene efecto reductor en los índices antropométricos, presión arterial en los trabajadores del mercado ACOMPA, respaldado por el p valor <0,05 rechazando la hipótesis nula.
