Calidad de cuidado de enfermería y satisfacción del familiar del paciente hospitalizado en la unidad de cuidados intensivos de un hospital nacional del Callao, 2026

Abstract

La UCI es un ambiente complejo donde se atienden a los pacientes críticos, recibiendo atención de profesionales altamente especializados las 24 horas del día en su condición delicada y frágil, siendo sometidos a diferentes procedimientos invasivos terapéuticos, este tipo de complejidades generan en los familiares sentimientos de incertidumbre, preocupación, ansiedad y angustia, es aquí donde las enfermeras deben brindar cuidados enfocados en el paciente y familia, para la recuperación del paciente y el alivio del dolor , angustia y preocupación del familiar. Es así el interés de plantear este estudio, con el objetivo de determinar la relación entre la calidad de cuidado de enfermería y la satisfacción del familiar del paciente hospitalizado en la UCI de un hospital nacional. Para este estudio se aplicará la metodología hipotética – deductiva, de enfoque cuantitativo, diseño no experimental, correlacional y de corte transversal, se considerará el total de familiares de los pacientes hospitalizados. Se le aplicará dos instrumentos para medir las respectivas variables. Luego, se trabajará la información recolectada la cual se expresará en tablas y gráficos. Posteriormente, para la constatación de la hipótesis se aplicará el coeficiente de correlación de Pearson y establecer relación entre las variables. Al final, se indicarán las conclusiones y recomendaciones del caso.

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a complex environment where critically ill patients receive 24- hour care from highly specialized professionals in their delicate and fragile condition. They undergo various invasive therapeutic procedures, and these complexities generate feelings of uncertainty, worry, anxiety and distress in their families. It is here that nurses must provide care focused on both the patient and their family, promoting the patient´s recovery and alleviating the family´s pain, distress and worry. This is the impetus for this study, which aims to determine the relationship between the quality of nursing care and the satisfaction of family members of patients hospitalized in the ICU of a national hospital. This study will employ a hypothetical-deductive methodology with a quantitative approach, a non-experimental, correlational and cross-sectional design and will include all family members of hospitalized patients. Two instruments will be used to measures the respective variables. Next, the collected information will be processed and presented in tables and graphs. Subsequently, to test the hypothesis, Pearson´s correlation coefficient will be applied to establish the relationship between the variables. Finally, the relevant conclusions and recommendations will be presented.
