Nivel de conocimiento y práctica del enfermero de triaje en emergencia del Hospital de Emergencias Villa El Salvador, 2023

Abstract

Mundialmente los servicios de emergencias están experimentando un aumento de la demanda en la atención de pacientes, trayendo como resultado la saturación de dichos servicios, para lograr abordar con eficacia y eficiencia dicha problemática se requiere personal de salud capacitado con conocimientos necesarios los cuales tengan relación con la práctica en el área de Triaje; área que se encarga de seleccionar y priorizar según el grado de severidad y gravedad las necesidades en salud que requieran los pacientes. A esto se suma el nivel de conocimiento y práctica del personal de enfermería el cual que juega un papel importante en el flujograma de la atención en pacientes en el área de emergencias. El objetivo del presente trabajo de investigación es Determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento y la práctica del enfermero de triaje en el Servicio de Emergencia del Hospital de Emergencias Villa El Salvador – 2023. La metodología consiste en un estudio aplicativo, hipotético deductivo, cuantitativo y de corte transversal durante el mes de agosto del 2023. Se usan 2 instrumentos para evaluar el nivel de conocimiento del enfermero y la práctica en Triaje, y el análisis estadístico de confiabilidad de los instrumentos se realizó con la prueba de Kuder Richardson obteniendo valores de 0.8 y 0.71 respectivamente.

Worldwide, emergency services are experiencing an increase in demand for patient care, resulting in the saturation of these services, in order to effectively and efficiently address this problem, trained health personnel with the necessary knowledge are required, which are related to practice in the Triage area; area that is in charge of selecting and prioritizing according to the degree of severity and seriousness the health needs that patients require. Added to this is the level of knowledge and practice of the nursing staff, which plays an important role in the flow chart of patient care in the emergency area. The objective of this research work is to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and the practice of the triage nurse in the Emergency Service of the Villa El Salvador Emergency Hospital - 2023. The methodology consists of an applicative, hypothetical deductive, quantitative study and cross-sectional during the month of August 2023. Two instruments are used to assess the level of nurse knowledge and practice in Triage, and the statistical analysis of the reliability of the instruments was performed with the Kuder Richardson test, obtaining values of 0.8 and 0.71 respectively.
