Aspectos sociodemográficos relacionados con la adherencia al tratamiento antirretroviral en pacientes con VIH - SIDA en el Centro Materno Infantil San José, 2024

Abstract

El tratamiento antirretroviral es importante para el manejo adecuado del VIH-SIDA, pero, la adherencia al tratamiento es un reto clave en la salud pública. Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre los aspectos sociodemográficos y la adherencia en el tratamiento antirretroviral en pacientes con VIH-SIDA en el CMI San José, 2024. Metodología: Estudio deductivo, cuantitativo, observacional analítico, transversal, en una muestra compuesta por 152 pacientes que recibieron terapia antirretroviral en el servicio de CATTITS en el CMI - San José, utilizando como instrumento el cuestionario de evaluación de la adhesión al tratamiento antirretroviral (CEAT-VIH). Resultados: El 49,3% tenía entre 31 a 59 años, 51% fue de sexo masculino, 51.3% estuvo soltero, 50.7% tuvo educación secundaria y el 53.3% percibía menos de 1025 soles mensuales. La edad (p=0.001), el grado de instrucción (p=0.001) y el Nivel socioeconómico (p=0.001) presentaron relación significativa con la adherencia al tratamiento. Conclusión: Los aspectos sociodemográficos tuvieron relación significativa con la adherencia al tratamiento antirretroviral en pacientes con VIH-SIDA en el CMI San José, 2024.

Antiretroviral treatment is important for the adequate management of HIV-AIDS, but adherence to treatment is a key challenge in public health. Objective: To determine the relationship between sociodemographic aspects and adherence to antiretroviral treatment in patients with HIV-AIDS at the CMI San José, 2024. Methodology: Deductive, quantitative, observational, analytical, cross-sectional, non-experimental study in a sample composed of 152 patients who received antiretroviral therapy in the CATTITS service at the CMI - San José, using the questionnaire as an instrument. Results: 49.3% were between 31 and 59 years old, 51% were male, 51.3% were single, 50.7% had secondary education, and 53.3% earned less than 1,025 soles per month. Age (p=0.001), educational level (p=0.001) and income (p=0.001) were significantly related to treatment adherence. Conclusion: Sociodemographic aspects were significantly related to adherence to antiretroviral treatment in patients with HIV-AIDS at the San José CMI, 2024.
