Gonartrosis y alteración de la marcha en pacientes del centro de rehabilitación Fisiocentro - Surquillo 2025

Abstract

Introducción: La gonartrosis nos hace referencia a una afección reumática inflamatoria que está presente en un alto porcentaje de personas alrededor del mundo y está dentro de las causas más predominantes de discapacidad, afectando más a mujeres que a hombres, lo que a su vez causan un 15% de incapacidades laborales y representa un 10% de consulta en atención primaria; La OMS explica que las personas mayores de 60 años representan el 40 % con gonartrosis, en cuestión de limitación de la marcha es un 80%, dependencia funcional 25% y nos menciona que la gonartrosis en un 50.5% es el motivo principal de dolor crónico. Por ello, es importante concientizar a la población sobre los riesgos y promover la interacción con la realidad para un desarrollo saludable. Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre la gonartrosis y la alteración de la marcha en pacientes del centro de rehabilitación Fisiocentro - Surquillo 2025. Metodología: Tipo de investigación básica de alcance hipotético – deductivo; diseño no experimental, correlacional y transversal; de enfoque cuantitativo; la población está conformada por adultos mayores con gonartrosis, que asistan al centro de rehabilitación Fisiocentro Surquillo; Mediante encuestas el Womac y la Escala de Tinetti. Resultados: Se hallo en este estudio que la muestra mayor fue el género femenino con 79%, la edad entre 60 a 69 años fue mayor con 52%. Por otro lado, se obtuvo en nivel de alteración de la marcha alta 70,59% y en funcionalidad de la gonartrosis baja fue de 49.41% Conclusiones: Al realizar el cruce de variables se obtuvo un valor p < 0,05, se concluye que existe relación entre la gonartrosis y la alteración de la marcha en los pacientes evaluados.

Introduction: When we talk about osteoarthritis, we refer to an inflammatory rheumatic condition that affects a high percentage of people around the world and is among the most prevalent causes of disability. It affects women more than men, causing 15% of work-related incapacity and representing 10% of primary care visits. The WHO explains that 40% of people over 60 years of age suffer from gonarthrosis, 80% experience walking limitations, 25% experience functional dependence, and mentions that gonarthrosis is the main cause of chronic pain in 50.5%. Therefore, it is important to raise public awareness about the risks and promote interaction with reality for healthy development. Objective: To determine the relationship between gonarthrosis and gait disturbance in patients at the Fisiocentro - Surquillo 2025 rehabilitation center. Methodology: The research was of a basic, hypothetical-deductive nature; the design was non experimental, correlational, and cross-sectional; the approach was quantitative; the population consisted of older adults with osteoarthritis of the knee who attended the Fisiocentro Surquillo rehabilitation center; the Womac survey and the Tinetti Scale were used. Results: This study found that the largest sample size was female (79%), and the highest age group (60-60 years) was found (52%). Furthermore, the highest level of impaired high gait was 70.59%, and the lowest level of functional gonarthrosis was 49.41%. Conclusions: When crossing variables, a p value < 0.05 was obtained, concluding that there is a relationship between gonarthrosis and gait disorders in the patients evaluated.
