The primary aim of this research was to explore the relationship between emotional intelligence and stress in the work environment of employees working in the call center area in the district of Santa Anita during 2025. To achieve this, a quantitative approach was adopted with a non-experimental, correlational, and cross-sectional design. The study was conducted with a sample of 124 advisors from a company located in Santa Anita, who were assessed using two instruments: the TMMS-24 Scale, designed to measure their level of emotional intelligence, and the ILO-WHO Work Stress Scale, to evaluate the degree of stress associated with their job activities. The results showed that there is no significant relationship between emotional intelligence and work-related stress. The correlations observed between the dimensions of emotional intelligence and work stress were weak and not statistically significant (Rho = -0.022, p = 0.806), indicating that both variables operate independently in this context. In conclusion, emotional intelligence does not appear to have a decisive influence on the work-related stress of the employees studied. This suggests that other factors, such as working conditions, workload, or social support, may have a greater impact on stress management. The findings highlight the importance of considering multiple dimensions of the work environment when designing strategies to improve employee well-being and reduce stress.en_US
