Estudio in vitro comparativo de la resistencia a la compresión de materiales para restauración indirecta VITAVM®LC, Parafil Lab, Ceramage, Lima, 2024

Abstract

Objetivo: el presente estudio, tuvo como objetivo comparar la resistencia a la compresión de tres materiales de restauración indirecta: VITAVM®LC, Ceramage y Parafil Lab. Metodologia: el estudio fue de tipo aplicado, con enfoque cuantitativo, método hipotético deductivo y diseño experimental. La muestra estuvo conformada por 45 especímenes (15 por cada material). El análisis estadístico incluyó estadística descriptiva, prueba de Levene para homogeneidad de varianzas, ANOVA de un factor, y comparación post hoc de Tukey. Resultados: se identificaron diferencias estadísticamente significativas (Sig. <0.05) entre los materiales. VITAVM®LC presentó la mayor resistencia a la compresión (172,16 MPa), seguido de Ceramage (151,03 MPa) y Parafil Lab (88,67 MPa). Las comparaciones múltiples mostraron diferencias significativas entre Parafil Lab frente a VITAVM®LC y Ceramage, pero no entre VITAVM®LC y Ceramage. Conclusión: existen diferencias significativas en la resistencia a la compresión entre los materiales para restauración indirecta. VITAVM®LC demostró ser el material con mayor resistencia mecánica y menor dispersión, recomendándose como opción preferente para restauraciones en zonas de alta exigencia funcional.

Objective: this study aimed to compare the compressive strength of three indirect restorative materials: VITAVM®LC, Ceramage, and Parafil Lab. Methodology: the study was applied, with a quantitative approach, a hypothetico-deductive method, and an experimental design. The sample consisted of 45 specimens (15 for each material). Statistical analysis included descriptive statistics, Levene's test for homogeneity of variances, one-way ANOVA, and Tukey's post-hoc test. Results: statistically significant differences (p < 0.05) were identified among the materials. VITAVM®LC exhibited the highest compressive strength (172.16 MPa), followed by Ceramage (151.03 MPa) and Parafil Lab (88.67 MPa). Multiple comparisons showed significant differences between Parafil Lab and VITAVM®LC and Ceramage, but not between VITAVM®LC and Ceramage. Conclusion: there are significant differences in compressive strength among indirect restoration materials. VITAVM®LC proved to be the material with the highest mechanical strength and lowest dispersion, making it the preferred choice for restorations in areas of high functional demands.
