Calidad de vida y grado de discapacidad en pacientes con dolor lumbar inespecífico del Centro Fisiodavila Perú, 2025

Abstract

La calidad de vida representa la percepción de bienestar ligado a la condición de salud física, mental y social que influye en rutina diaria de una persona. El dolor lumbar produce limitaciones funcionales generando distintos niveles de discapacidad que afectan el bienestar y la calidad de vida del individuo. Objetivo: “Determinar la relación entre la calidad de vida y el grado de discapacidad en pacientes con dolor lumbar inespecífico que acuden al Centro Fisiodavila Peru, 2025”. Materiales y Método: Fue de diseño no experimental, correlacional transversal y evaluó a 92 pacientes con dolor lumbar inespecífico. Se aplicaron dos instrumentos: un cuestionario de calidad de vida (36 ítems, 9 dimensiones) y una escala de discapacidad (10 ítems). Resultados: Hubo relación significativa entre calidad de vida y grado de discapacidad (p<0,05). También hubo asociación significativa entre las dimensiones función física, rol físico, dolor corporal, salud general, función social, rol emocional y salud mental con el grado de discapacidad (p<0,05), no se halló relación con la dimensión vitalidad (p>0,05). Conclusión: Se concluye que existió una relación estadísticamente significativa entre la calidad de vida y el grado de discapacidad, lo cual evidencia que es necesario fortalecer estrategias de atención integral que mejoren la funcionalidad, autonomía y bienestar de estos pacientes.

Quality of life represents the perception of well-being linked to the physical, mental, and social health conditions that influence a person's daily routine. Low back pain causes functional limitations, generating different levels of disability that affect an individual's well-being and quality of life. Objective: "To determine the relationship between quality of life and the degree of disability in patients with nonspecific low back pain who attend the Fisiodavila Peru Health Center, 2025." Materials and Method: The study was non-experimental, correlational-cross sectional, and evaluated 92 patients with nonspecific low back pain. Two instruments were applied: a quality of life questionnaire (36 items, 9 dimensions) and a disability scale (10 items). Results: There was a significant relationship between quality of life and the degree of disability (p < 0.05). A significant association was also found between the dimensions of physical function, physical role, bodily pain, general health, social function, emotional role and mental health with the degree of disability (p<0.05), although no relationship was found with the vitality dimension (p>0.05). Conclusion: It is concluded that there was a statistically significant relationship between quality of life and the degree of disability, which shows the need to strengthen comprehensive care strategies that improve the functionality, autonomy, and well-being of these patients.
