Carga del cuidador y adherencia al tratamiento en pacientes con esquizofrenia en un centro de salud mental comunitario – Huaraz, 2025

Abstract

Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre la carga del cuidador y la adherencia al tratamiento en pacientes con esquizofrenia atendidos en el Centro de Salud Mental Comunitario - Huaraz, durante el año 2025. Metodología: El estudio empleará el método deductivo con enfoque cuantitativo, tipo aplicada, de diseño no experimental, descriptivo y correlacional. La muestra estará conformada por 80 pacientes diagnosticados con esquizofrenia y 80 cuidadores responsables, seleccionados mediante muestreo probabilístico aleatorio simple. Técnicas e instrumentos: Para la recopilación de datos se utilizará la técnica de encuesta, aplicando la Escala de Carga del Cuidador de Zarit (ECCZ) y la Escala de Adherencia al Tratamiento, ambas validadas por juicio de expertos. Procedimiento: La recolección de datos se realizará durante el último trimestre del 2025 de forma presencial; posteriormente la información se organizará en Excel y la base de datos se exportará al software estadístico SPSS versión 25. Análisis Estadístico: Se realizará un análisis descriptivo e inferencial, pruebas estadísticas como el Tau b de Kendall y el coeficiente de correlación de Spearman, además de tablas y gráficas para la presentación de resultados.

Objective: To determine the relationship between caregiver burden and adherence to treatment in patients with schizophrenia treated at the Community Mental Health Center in Huaraz, during the year 2025. Methodology: The study will use the deductive method with quantitative approach, applied type, non-experimental, descriptive and correlational design. The sample will consist of 80 patients diagnosed with schizophrenia and 80 responsible caregivers, selected by simple random probability sampling. Techniques and instruments: The survey technique will be used for data collection, applying the Zarit Caregiver Burden Scale (ECCZ) and the Treatment Adherence Scale, both validated by expert judgment. Procedure: Data collection will be carried out during the last quarter of 2025 in person; subsequently the information will be organized in Excel and the database will be exported to SPSS version 25 statistical software. Statistical Analysis: Descriptive and inferential analysis, statistical tests such as Kendall's Tau b and Spearman's correlation coefficient, as well as tables and graphs for the presentation of results will be carried out.
