Depresión y calidad de vida de los adultos mayores que acuden a la casa del adulto mayor, Lima-2024

Abstract

La presente investigación tiene como objetivo determinar la relación entre la depresión y la calidad de vida de los adultos mayores que acuden a la casa del adulto mayor, Lima 2024. La investigación tipo aplicada, no experimental, cuantitativa, correlacional transversal. Población; 100 adultos mayores de la casa del adulto mayor. Asimismo, como técnica se utilizará la encuesta, instrumentos: “Escala de Depresión Geriátrica Yesavage (GDS)” que fue validada por Alvarado (2020) a través de juicio de expertos, dando un puntaje de 1 lo cual indica que es excelente para su aplicación, asimismo, presenta una confiabilidad por alfa de Cronbach de 0.76 siendo aceptable. Respecto a la “Escala de Calidad de Vida (WHOQOL OLD)” Cuenta con una validez de contenido buena siendo de 87% y una confiabilidad por alfa de Cronbach de 0,885. Además, la información obtenida se registrará mediante el Microsoft Excel 2019 y serán exportados al software estadístico SPSS versión 26, con los resultados en tablas y gráficos se interpretará el comportamiento de las variables y el nivel de relación mediante la prueba Rho de Spearman. Por otro lado, se aplicarán los principios éticos sin hacer daño a las personas, ni a la institución participante.

The objective of this research is to determine the relationship between depression and the quality of life of older adults who go to the home of the elderly, Lima 2024. The research is of an applied type, quantitative, non-experimental approach, with a descriptive transversal. 100 adults old who go older adult's home. Likewise, to collect data, as a technique, instrument’s: “Yesavage Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS)” validated by Alvarado (2020) through expert judgment, giving a score of 1 which indicates that it is excellent for its application. Likewise, it has a Cronbach's alpha reliability of 0.76, which is acceptable. Regarding the “Quality of Life Scale (WHOQOL-OLD)”, it has good content validity of 87% and a Cronbach's alpha reliability of 0.885. In addition, the information obtained will be recorded using Microsoft Excel 2019 and will be exported to the statistical software SPSS version 26, with the results in tables and graphs, the behavior of the variables and the level of relationship will be interpreted using the Spearman Rho test. On the other hand, ethical principles will be applied without harming people or the participating institution.
