El objetivo del estudio es el de identificar cómo el autocuidado influye en la calidad de vida del adulto mayor. La investigación es de enfoque cuantitativo y basado en un método hipotético-deductivo, con un diseño no experimental de corte transversal, de tipo aplicada y un alcance correlacional, se llevará a cabo un trabajo con una población de 109 Adultos Mayores que asisten a un hospital de Lima, 2024 y como muestra se tendrá a 85 adultos mayores. Con la finalidad de recopilar los datos, se empleará la encuesta y como instrumentos dos cuestionarios los cuales son validados y de alta confiabilidad. En el procesamiento de los detalles serán tabulados en bases de datos elaboradas en el software Excel las cuales a su vez serán procesadas en el SPPS 25.0, con el que se facilitará la obtención estadísticos descriptos en tablas y figuras, así como estadística inferencial por medio de la prueba de Rho de Spearman con la finalidad de poder verificar las hipótesis planteadas y elevar los hallazgos a los que se llegarán.

The aim of the study is to identify how self-care influences the quality of life of the elderly. The research is quantitative and based on a hypothetical-deductive method, with a non experimental cross-sectional design, applied type and a correlational scope, a work will be carried out with a population of 109 Older Adults who attend a hospital in Lima, 2024 and as a sample there will be 85 older adults. In order to collect the data, the survey will be used and two questionnaires will be used as instruments, which are validated and highly reliable. In the processing of the details, they will be tabulated in databases prepared in the Excel software, which in turn will be processed in SPPS 25.0, which will facilitate the obtaining of statistics described in tables and figures, as well as inferential statistics by means of Spearman's Rho test in order to verify the hypotheses raised and raise the findings that will be reached.
