Conocimiento y actitudes preventivas sobre el virus del papiloma humano en trabajadores de un call center de salud pública – 2026

Abstract

Este estudio tiene como objetivo principal determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento y las actitudes preventivas sobre el Virus del Papiloma Humano (VPH) en los trabajadores de un call center de salud pública en Lima Metropolitana durante el año 2025. Se parte de la premisa de que, a pesar del rol clave de este personal como agentes multiplicadores de información sanitaria, existen vacíos en la evidencia sobre sus competencias específicas frente al VPH, un problema de salud pública prioritario en Perú. La investigación adopta un enfoque cuantitativo, con un diseño no experimental, transversal y de tipo correlacional. Se aplicará un censo a la población total de trabajadores del call center, utilizando dos cuestionarios estructurados y validados: uno para medir el conocimiento (dividido en dimensiones general, de factores de riesgo y de medidas preventivas) y otro para evaluar las actitudes preventivas (en sus componentes cognitivo, afectivo y conductual). El análisis de datos se realizará con estadística descriptiva e inferencial, empleando la prueba de correlación de Spearman en el software SPSS. Se espera encontrar una relación significativa y positiva entre un mayor conocimiento y actitudes preventivas más favorables hacia el VPH.

The main objective of this study is to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and preventive attitudes toward Human Papillomavirus (HPV) among workers at a public health call center in Metropolitan Lima during the year 2025. It is based on the premise that, despite the key role of these workers as multipliers of health information, there are gaps in the evidence regarding their specific competencies in relation to HPV, a priority public health issue in Peru. The research adopts a quantitative approach, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional, and correlational design. A census will be applied to the total population of call center workers, using two structured and validated questionnaires: one to measure knowledge (divided into general dimensions, risk factors, and preventive measures) and another to assess preventive attitudes (in their cognitive, affective, and behavioral components). Data analysis will be performed using descriptive and inferential statistics, employing Spearman's correlation test in SPSS software. A significant and positive relationship between greater knowledge and more favorable preventive attitudes toward HPV is expected to be found.
