Patrones de uso de ansiolíticos y antidepresivos en pacientes atendidos en la botica Vidsalud de Ate Vitarte en el periodo de octubre 2021-abril 2022 Lima- Perú

Abstract

Psychopathologies themselves are already a problem, the excessive use of antidepressants, anxiolytics and sedatives / hypnotics is even more serious, therefore the present work aimed to describe the patterns of use of anxiolytics and antidepressants in patients treated at the VidSalud pharmacy in the Ate Vitarte district in a sample attended during the period from October 2021 to April 2022. Method: For this, a data collection form was applied from the prescription and patient care in the pharmacy. It was found that the psychotropic drugs most used by patients are alprazolam 35.4% and clonazepam 32.6%, followed by sertraline 19.3%. The prescription doses are conservative and do not differ much between the patients surveyed. The specialty of the prescriber issuing the prescription exceeds the professional capacity to prescribe them with a full balance of their side effects and efficacy for the conditions treated. The duration of treatment with psychotropic drugs in the patients evaluated ranges from 1 week to 10 months. The class of psychotropic drugs used is equally balanced for anxiolytics and antidepressants. The psychopathologies associated with the prescription of psychotropic drugs are anxiety and depression in their clinical and subclinical forms, followed by insomnia. It is concluded that, given a scenario in which the use of psychotropic drugs for anxiety, depression, and other psychopathologies is increasing, and that given the possibility of side effects associated with the type of psychotropic drug and the duration of treatment, the abuse of prescribing outside the relevant medical specialty and patient abuse should be carefully reviewed.

Las psicopatologías en sí ya son un problema, el uso excesivo de antidepresivos, ansiolíticos y sedantes / hipnóticos es más grave aún, por ello el presente trabajo se planteó el objetivo de describir los patrones de uso de ansiolíticos y antidepresivos en pacientes atendidos en la botica VidSalud del distrito de Ate Vitarte en una muestra atendida durante el periodo de octubre de 2021 a abril de 2022. Método : Para ello se aplicó una ficha de recolección de datos a partir de la prescripción y atención al paciente en la oficina farmacéutica. Se encontró que los psicofármacos más usados por los pacientes son el alprazolam 35,4% y clonazepam 32,6%, seguido por la sertralina 19,3%. Las dosis de prescripción son conservadoras y no difieren mucho entre los pacientesencuestados. La especialidad del prescriptor que emite la receta sobrepasa la capacidad profesional para prescribirlos con pleno balance de sus efectos secundarios y eficacia sobre las patologías tratadas. La duración del tratamiento con psicofármacos en lospacientes evaluados varía entre 1 semana hasta 10 meses. La clase de psicofármacos empleados está en igualdad de balance para los ansiolíticos y antidepresivos. Las psicopatologías asociadas a la prescripción de psicofármacos son la ansiedad ydepresión en sus formas clínicas como subclínicas seguida del insomnio. Se concluye que, ante un escenario del uso de psicofármacos contra la ansiedad, depresión y otraspsicopatologías van en aumento y que ante la posibilidad de eventos secundarios asociados al tipo de psicofármaco y la duración del tratamiento se debe revisar con conciencia el abuso de la prescripción fuera de la especialidad médica pertinente y delabuso del paciente.
