La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar el impacto de la aplicación del Lean Manufacturing en la productividad administrativa de un centro educativo en Lima. El estudio es de tipo aplicado, con un enfoque cuantitativo y un diseño cuasiexperimental de tipo pre-test y post-test. La problemática inicial identificada mediante el Mapeo de la Cadena de Valor (VSM) mostró que el 72% del tiempo en procesos clave, como la matrícula, correspondía a actividades que no agregaban valor (desperdicios). La intervención consistió en la implementación de herramientas Lean como 5S, Gestión Visual y estandarización de procesos. Los resultados, analizados mediante la prueba T de Student para muestras relacionadas, revelaron una mejora significativa en la productividad (p < 0.05), logrando reducir el tiempo de ciclo promedio de 28.34 a 10.9 minutos y disminuyendo los desperdicios al 42%. Se concluye que la metodología Lean es eficaz para optimizar la gestión administrativa en el sector educativo básico, reduciendo la burocracia y mejorando el flujo de trabajo bajo un nivel de confianza del 95%.
Resumen
The objective of this research was to determine the impact of Lean Manufacturing application on the administrative productivity of an educational center in Lima. The study is applied in nature, with a quantitative approach and a quasi-experimental pre-test/post test design. The initial problem identified through Value Stream Mapping (VSM) showed that 72% of the time in key processes, such as enrollment, corresponded to non-value added activities (waste). The intervention consisted of implementing Lean tools such as 5S, Visual Management, and process standardization. The results, analyzed using the Student's t-test for related samples, revealed a significant improvement in productivity (p < 0.05), achieving a reduction in the average cycle time from 28.34 to 10.9 minutes and decreasing waste to 42%. It is concluded that the Lean methodology is effective for optimizing administrative management in the basic education sector, reducing bureaucracy and improving workflow with a 95% confidence level.
