Conocimiento sobre las varices y medidas preventivas en miembros inferiores en pacientes cardiológicos, Centro Nuevocardio, Lima 2025

Abstract

Objetivo: “Determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimientos sobre las várices en miembros inferiores y medidas de los pacientes cardiológicos Centro Nuevocardio”. Material y métodos: según su tendencia será cuantitativo, de orientación, aplicada, el periodo de sucesos será prospectivo, de acuerdo con el espacio y el ordenamiento de la indagación. Además, transversal y correlacional, ya que consentirá establecer relaciones entre dos variables (Hernández, et al). Se uso la técnica de encuesta, empleando dos cuestionarios de 11 y 14 ítems diseñado para medir las variables. La población de estudio estuvo conformada por 122 pacientes cardiológicos del Centro Nuevocardio-San Borja, quienes cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión y exclusión establecidos. Los datos obtenidos fueron ingresados en el programa Excel y procesados con el software SPSS 29. 0 de 2022, utilizando estadísticas descriptivas; para analizar la relación entre ambas variables, se aplicó el Coeficiente de correlación de Spearman. Resultados: Con respecto al conocimiento de las varices el 3.3% presentan un conocimiento bajo, el 57.4% un conocimiento medio y el 39.3% obtuvo un conocimiento alto con respecto a las medidas preventivas los resultados arrojaron que el 1.6% presento medidas inadecuadas, el 56.6% medidas medianamente adecuadas y el 41.8% tuvieron medidas preventivas adecuadas. En conclusión, la prueba de hipótesis a través de la Rho de Spearman confirmo una correlación positiva alta de 0.802 entre las variables conocimiento y medidas preventivas de los pacientes cardiológicos del Centro Nuevocardio, Lima, 2025 confirmando la hipótesis alterna que a mayor conocimiento mayores medidas preventivas.

Objective: “To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge about varicose veins in the lower limbs and the measurements of cardiology patients at the Nuevocardio Center.” Materials and methods: According to its tendency, it will be quantitative, oriented, applied, the period of events will be prospective, according to the space and order of the inquiry. In addition, it will be cross-sectional and correlational, since it will allow establishing relationships between two variables (Hernández, et al). The survey technique was used, employing two questionnaires of 11 and 14 items designed to measure the variables. The study population consisted of 122 cardiology patients from the Nuevocardio-San Borja Center, who met the established inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data obtained were entered into the Excel program and processed with SPSS 29. 0 of 2022 software, using descriptive statistics; to analyze the relationship between both variables, Spearman's correlation coefficient was applied. Results: Regarding knowledge of varicose veins, 3.3% had low knowledge, 57.4% had average knowledge, and 39.3% had high knowledge regarding preventive measures. The results showed that 1.6% had inadequate measures, 56.6% had moderately adequate measures, and 41.8% had adequate preventive measures. In conclusion, the Spearman's Rho hypothesis test confirmed a high positive correlation of 0.802 between the variables of knowledge and preventive measures in cardiology patients at the Nuevocardio Center in Lima, Peru, confirming the alternative hypothesis that greater knowledge indicates greater preventive measures.
