Estilos de aprendizaje y rendimiento academico de los estudiantes de la escuela de Ingeniería Industrial y Gestión Empresarial de la Universidad Norbert Wiener, 2017

Abstract

La investigación tiene como objetivo general determinar la relación entre los estilos de aprendizaje y rendimiento académico de los estudiantes de la Escuela de Ingeniería Industrial y de Gestión Empresarial de la Universidad Norbert Wiener año 2017. Por su nivel reúne las características de un estudio descriptivo, correlacional debido a que está orientado a describir un fenómeno en una circunstancia temporal - espacial determinado y a medir la relación entre las variables del estudio. Con respecto al diseño de la investigación, esta es no experimental, descriptiva correlacional. La población está conformada por 164 estudiantes comprendidos entre el primer y décimo ciclo. Se determinó el tamaño muestral igual a 115 estudiantes. La hipótesis general es “Existe significativa relación entre los estilos de aprendizaje y el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes de la Escuela de Ingeniería Industrial de la Universidad Norbert Wiener año 2017”. Utilizando el coeficiente de correlación Spearman se determinó que existe una relación débil entre los estilos de aprendizaje y el rendimiento académico dado que se encuentra un valor de p-significante de 0.250 y un coeficiente de Spearman de 0.108 por lo que NO se rechaza la hipótesis nula.

The general objective of the research is to determine the relationship between learning styles and academic performance of the students of the School of Industrial Engineering and Business Management of the Norbert Wiener University in 2017. Because of its level, it has the characteristics of a descriptive, correlational study because it is oriented to describe a phenomenon in a given temporal - spatial circumstance and to measure the relationship between the variables of the study. With respect to the design of the research, this is nonexperimental, descriptive correlational. The population is conformed by 164 students comprised between the first and tenth cycle. The sample size was determined equal to 115 students. The general hypothesis is "There is a significant relationship between the learning styles and the academic performance of the students of the School of Industrial Engineering of the Norbert Wiener University year 2017". Using the Spearman correlation coefficient, it was determined that there is a weak relationship between learning styles and academic performance given that a p-significant value of 0.250 and a Spearman coefficient of 0.108 is found, so the null hypothesis is NOT rejected.
