Nivel de discapacidad por dolor lumbar y acortamiento de los flexores de cadera en trabajadores del Policlínico INPPARES, Lima – 2025

Abstract

Introducción: El nivel de discapacidad por dolor lumbar constituye un problema de salud frecuente Esta condición limita el desempeño del individuo en la ejecución de sus actividades cotidianas, reduciendo su eficiencia y funcionalidad. Objetivo: fue determinar la relación entre el nivel de discapacidad por dolor lumbar y el acortamiento de los flexores de cadera en trabajadores del Policlínico INPPARES, Lima – 2025. Material y métodos: Se realizó una investigación aplicada que empleó el método hipotético-deductivo, con diseño no experimental en cuanto a la población estuvo conformada por 70 trabajadores. Resultados: Se observó una mayor representación del sexo femenino (58,6%) y el grupo etario más frecuente fue el de 30 a 40 años (74,3%). Según los criterios de Spearman mostró una relación positiva (Rho=0,736). Conclusiones: que existe una relación directa entre ambas variables, de modo que un menor grado de acortamiento muscular se asocia con un menor nivel de discapacidad reportada en la región lumbar.

Introduction: The level of disability due to low back pain is a common health problem. This condition limits an individual’s performance in carrying out daily activities, reducing efficiency and functional capacity. Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of disability due to low back pain and shortening of the hip flexor muscles in workers at the INPPARES Polyclinic, Lima – 2025. Materials and Methods: An applied study was conducted using the hypothetical-deductive method, with a non-experimental design. The study population consisted of 70 workers. Results: A higher representation of females was observed (58.6%), and the most frequent age group was 30–40 years (74.3%). According to Spearman’s criteria, a positive correlation was found (Rho = 0.736). Conclusion: There is a direct relationship between both variables, such that a lower degree of muscle shortening is associated with a lower level of reported disability in the lumbar region.
