Conocimiento sobre prevención de insuficiencia renal crónica y autocuidado en pacientes con diabetes mellitus tipo 2 en un Centro de Salud de Lima, 2026

Abstract

Introducción: El conocimiento sobre prevención de insuficiencia renal en pacientes con diabetes representa un elemento esencial para disminuir las complicaciones y favorecer la mejora de su calidad de vida. Asimismo, mediante un control adecuado de la glucosa, la adherencia al tratamiento, la alimentación saludable y el seguimiento periódico de la función renal, se contribuye al fortalecimiento de conductas preventivas. Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el conocimiento sobre prevención de insuficiencia renal crónica y autocuidado en pacientes con diabetes mellitus tipo 2. Metodología: El método será hipotético- deductivo, enfoque cuantitativo, tipo aplicada, diseño no experimental, corte transversal y correlacional. Población: Se conformará por 50 pacientes con diabetes mellitus tipo 2, la técnica utilizada será la encuesta y el instrumento corresponderá al cuestionario, el instrumento para medir el conocimiento sobre prevención de insuficiencia renal crónica fue elaborado por Huamani en el 2025, el instrumento cuenta con validez por juicio de experto y la confiabilidad se estableció a través de aplicar la prueba KR-20 donde se obtuvo un valor de 0.893, mientras el instrumento para medir el autocuidado fue elaborado por Fonseca y Zavaleta en el 2023, el instrumento cuenta con validez por juicio de experto y la confiabilidad se estableció a través de aplicar la prueba alfa de Cronbach donde se obtuvo un valor de 0.856. Los resultados se obtendrán a través de usar el programa estadísticos SPSS v.27, el cual permitirá presentar tablas de frecuencia y gráficos de barra, así como se usará la prueba de correlación rho de Spearman.

Introduction: Knowledge about preventing kidney failure in patients with diabetes is essential for reducing complications and improving their quality of life. Furthermore, proper glucose control, adherence to treatment, a healthy diet, and regular monitoring of kidney function contribute to strengthening preventive behaviors. Objective: To determine the relationship between knowledge about preventing chronic kidney failure and self-care in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methodology: The method will be hypothetical-deductive, quantitative, applied, nonexperimental, cross-sectional, and correlational. Population: The study will consist of 50 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. The technique used will be a survey, and the instrument will be a questionnaire. The instrument to measure knowledge about the prevention of chronic kidney failure was developed by Huamani in 2025. This instrument has been validated by expert judgment, and its reliability was established by applying the KR-20 test, where a value of 0.893 was obtained. The instrument to measure self-care was developed by Fonseca and Zavaleta in 2023. This instrument has also been validated by expert judgment, and its reliability was established by applying Cronbach's alpha test, where a value of 0.856 was obtained. The results will be obtained using the SPSS v.27 statistical software, which will allow for the presentation of frequency tables and bar graphs. Spearman's rho correlation test will also be used.
