Contacto piel con piel y lactancia materna precoz en recién nacidos, atendidos en el Centro Salud, MINSA–Ayacucho, 2025

Abstract

Introducción: Dado que ayuda con la regulación fisiológica del recién nacido, construye el vínculo emocional y fomenta el inicio temprano de la lactancia, el contacto piel con piel entre la madre y el recién nacido es una táctica esencial en la atención neonatal. Varios grupos mundiales destacan la importancia de esta práctica para reducir la mortalidad neonatal, evitar problemas y promover un crecimiento saludable en los primeros años de vida. Aunque el contacto piel con piel se usa en los servicios de salud en Ayacucho, no se sabe mucho sobre cómo desarrollarlo adecuadamente o cómo se relaciona con la lactancia materna temprana. El objetivo de la investigación es “Determinar la relación entre el contacto piel con piel y la lactancia materna precoz en recién nacidos, atendidos en el Centro de Salud San Juan Bautista – Ayacucho, 2025”. Metodología: El estudio presenta un enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo no experimental, con diseño transversal y correlacional, basado en el método hipotético deductivo. La población estará constituida por 150 madres puérperas y sus recién nacidos, utilizando muestras censales no probabilístico por conveniencia. La información se efectuará mediante encuestas y guía de observación, aplicando instrumentos validados y confiables. El análisis se desarrollará con el software estadístico SPSS v26, empleando técnicas descriptivas y correlaciónales.

Introduction: Immediate skin-to-skin contact between mother and newborn is a fundamental strategy in neonatal care, as it promotes the infant’s physiological regulation, strengthens emotional bonding, and facilitates the timely initiation of breastfeeding. Various international organizations highlight that this practice can significantly reduce neonatal mortality, prevent complications, and ensure proper development during the early years of life. In the Ayacucho region, although skin-to-skin contact is applied in health services, there is limited research analyzing its adequate implementation and its relationship with early breastfeeding. The objective of this research is “to determine the relationship between skin-to-skin contact and early breastfeeding in newborns cared for in the immediate care service of the San Juan Bautista Health Center – Ayacucho, 2025.” Methodology: The study adopts a quantitative approach, is non-experimental, with a cross-sectional and correlational design, based on the hypothetical deductive method. The population will consist of 150 postpartum mothers and their newborns, using a non-probabilistic convenience census sampling. Data collection will be carried out through surveys and observation guides, using validated and reliable instruments. Data analysis will be performed with SPSS v26 statistical software, applying descriptive and correlational techniques.
