Conocimientos y prácticas sobre el cuidado del paciente con ventilación mecánica, en profesionales de enfermería en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos de un hospital de Lima, 2024

Abstract

Objetivo: “Determinar la relación que existe entre el conocimiento y la práctica sobre el cuidado del paciente con ventilación mecánica en el profesional de enfermería”. Metodología: La investigación será conducida bajo un enfoque cuantitativo, empleando el método hipotético-deductivo. Se trata de un estudio de tipo aplicado, con un diseño no experimental, de nivel descriptivo correlacional y con un alcance temporal de tipo transversal. La población estará conformada por un total de 50 profesionales de enfermería. Para obtener los datos, se utilizará una encuesta que incluye dos instrumentos validados: un cuestionario y una lista de verificación. El primer instrumento medirá el nivel de conocimiento respecto al cuidado del paciente que recibe ventilación mecánica, mostrando una elevada consistencia interna, respaldada por un coeficiente de fiabilidad de Cronbach de 0.98. El segundo instrumento permitirá identificar las prácticas que lleva a cabo el profesional de enfermería, presentando un Alfa de Cronbach de 0.63. La información recolectada será organizada mediante tablas y representaciones gráficas, lo que permitirá efectuar un análisis estadístico exhaustivo en una etapa posterior. Este análisis incluirá la generación e interpretación de estadísticas relevantes adaptadas al contexto del estudio. Del mismo modo, se examinará la asociación entre las variables aplicando el coeficiente de correlación de Spearman, en concordancia con los objetivos planteados en la investigación.

Objective: “To determine the relationship between knowledge and practice on the care of the mechanically ventilated patient in the nursing professional”. Methodology: The research will be conducted under a quantitative approach, using the hypothetico-deductive method. It is an applied study, with a non-experimental design, descriptive-correlational level and with a cross-sectional temporal scope. The population will consist of 50 nursing professionals. To obtain the data, a survey will be used that includes two validated instruments: a questionnaire and a checklist. The first instrument will measure the level of knowledge regarding the care of the patient receiving mechanical ventilation, showing a high internal consistency, supported by a Cronbach's reliability coefficient of 0.98. The second instrument will allow the identification of the practices carried out by the nursing professional, also presenting an adequate level of reliability, a Cronbach's Alpha of 0.63. The information collected will be organized by means of tables and graphical representations, which will allow an exhaustive statistical analysis to be carried out at a later stage. This analysis will include the generation and interpretation of relevant statistics adapted to the context of the study. Similarly, the association between variables will be examined by applying Spearman's correlation coefficient, in accordance with the research objectives
