El servicio que brindan los enfermeros dentro de la unidad de cuidados intensivo trasciende el tema de conocimiento y práctica, ya que involucra la interacción permanente con seres humanos que se encuentran en condición crítica y en peligro de muerte. Todo ello exige una atención y cuidado constante, superando las limitaciones del sistema sanitario, las situaciones de sufrimiento y el dolor que experimentan los enfermeros por la pérdida de vidas humanas. A todo ello se suma la sobrecarga laboral, panorama que genera situaciones de estrés en los enfermeros, casuística que muchas veces no se logra manejar adecuadamente. OBJETIVO: determinar cuál es la relación entre la sobrecarga laboral y el estrés en enfermeros de la unidad de cuidados intensivos de un hospital nivel II-2, 2024. MATERIALES Y MÉTODOS: la metodología será cuantitativa, transversal – no experimental, descriptiva y correlacional. Participarán 51 profesionales de enfermería. Se empleará la encuesta; así también, se aplicará un cuestionario para medir la variable sobrecarga laboral y otro para medir la variable estrés. El análisis estadístico se realizará considerando la distribución de los datos, utilizando pruebas estadísticas o no paramétricas, como Rho de Spearman o paramétricas, como Pearson.
Resumen
The service provided by nurses within the intensive care unit transcends the issue of knowledge and practice, since it involves permanent interaction with human beings who are in critical condition and in danger of death. All of this requires constant attention and care, overcoming the limitations of the health system, the situations of suffering and the pain that nurses experience due to the loss of human life. Added to all this is work overload, a situation that generates stressful situations in nurses, a situation that is often not managed adequately. OBJECTIVE: to determine the relationship between work overload and stress in nurses in the intensive care unit of a level II-2 hospital, 2024. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The methodology will be quantitative, transversal – non-experimental, descriptive and correlational. 51 nursing professionals will participate. The survey will be used; Likewise, a questionnaire will be applied to measure the work overload variable and another to measure the stress variable. The statistical analysis will be carried out considering the distribution of the data, using statistical or non-parametric tests, such as Spearman's Rho, or parametric tests, such as Pearson.
