Relación entre el tipo de familia y la conducta del niño en la atención dental en un hospital nacional, Lima 2024

Abstract

Este estudio tiene como principal objetivo el determinar la relación entre el tipo de familia y la conducta del niño en la atención dental, en el servicio de odontopediatría del hospital nacional PNP Luis N. Sáenz. En relación a la metodología empleada, fue de tipo hipotético - deductivo, de enfoque cuantitativo, tipo básico y diseño no experimental de corte transversal y nivel correlacional. La muestra fue compuesta por 100 pacientes pediátricos, junto a sus padres, mismos que fueron registrados en las respectivas fichas. Cabe resaltar que para ambas variables (tipo de familia y tipo de conducta) se utilizaron fichas de recolección, previamente aprobadas por juicio de expertos. Por otro lado, los resultados reflejaron que el 56% de la muestra pertenece a familias nucleares; a su vez, un 30% tiene una conducta positiva. Por otra parte, La relación entre ambas variables existe ya que es estadísticamente significativa. Cabe resaltar que el mayor porcentaje de tipología familiar fue la nuclear con un 56%, seguida de la extensa con un 35%, finalmente la monoparental con un 9%. Respecto al sexo, el femenino presenta 62.2% en cuanto a conducta positiva, en comparación con el sexo masculino que presenta un 50.9%. En relación a la edad, los niños de 4 años presentaron una conducta positiva y negativa de porcentaje cercano (40.9 % - 45.5% respectivamente), sin embargo, para los niños de 6 a 8 años se percibe que el porcentaje de conducta negativa va disminuyendo. En conclusión; la relación entre tipo de familia y conducta existe.

The main objective of this study is to determine the relationship between family type and child conduct in dental attend at the pediatric dentistry service of the Luis N. Sáenz National Police Hospital. The methodology used was hypothetical-deductive, quantitative, basic, and non-experimental cross-sectional design at a correlational level. The sample consisted of 100 pediatric patients, together with their parents, who were registered in the respective files. It should be noted that for both variables (family type and conduct type), data collection forms were used, which had been previously approved by experts. On the other hand, the results reflected that 56% of the sample belonged to nuclear families; in turn, 30% had positive conduct. Furthermore, the relationship between both variables exists as it is statistically significant. It should be noted that the highest percentage of family types was nuclear with 56%, followed by extended with 35%, and finally single parent with 9%. Regarding gender, females presented 62.2% positive behavior, compared to males who presented 50.9%. In relation to age, 4-year-olds showed similar percentages of positive and negative conduct (40.9% and 45.5%, respectively), however, for children aged 6 to 8, the percentage of negative behavior decreases. In conclusion, there is a relationship between family type and conduct.
