Virus no hepatótropos en pacientes trasplantados renales de un hospital de EsSalud de Lima, 2023

Abstract

Los virus no hepatótropos son agentes infecciosos latentes que pueden desarrollarse postrasplante de órganos como los trasplantes renales en diferentes establecimientos de salud. El objetivo del estudio fue determinar los principales virus no hepatótropos en pacientes trasplantados renales de un hospital de EsSalud de Lima, 2023. Se revisaron la totalidad de historias clínicas (censal) del área de trasplantes de un hospital de EsSalud durante los meses de enero a diciembre del año 2023. Posteriormente se elaboró una ficha de recolección de datos donde se detalló información demográfica (edad, sexo, procedencia) y clínica (tipo de donante). La información obtenida se almacenó en una base de datos Microsoft Excel y se analizaron mediante estadística descriptiva. Los virus no hepatótropos frecuentes en pacientes trasplantados renales de un hospital de EsSalud de Lima, 2023 fueron el Citomegalovirus (41.8%), y Poliomavirus (18.2%), los factores sexo, edad, procedencia y tipo de donante no influyeron en la frecuencia de virus no hepatótropos. Los resultados sugieren la continuidad del monitoreo del paciente trasplantado para obtener un diagnóstico oportuno de infecciones virales y brindar un tratamiento adecuado.

Non-hepatotropic viruses are latent infectious agents that can develop after organ transplants such as kidney transplants in different health facilities. The objective of the study was to determine the main non-hepatotropic viruses in kidney transplant patients from an EsSalud hospital in Lima, 2023. All clinical records (census) of the transplant area of an EsSalud hospital were reviewed during the months of January to December 2023. Subsequently, a data collection form was prepared detailing demographic information (age, sex, origin) and clinical information (type of donor). The information obtained was stored in a Microsoft Excel database and analyzed using descriptive statistics. } The frequent non-hepatotropic viruses in kidney transplant patients from an EsSalud hospital in Lima, 2023 were Cytomegalovirus (41.8%) and Polyomavirus (18.2%). The factors of sex, age, origin and type of donor did not influence the frequency of non hepatotropic viruses. The results suggest the continuity of monitoring of the transplant patient to obtain a timely diagnosis of viral infections and provide adequate treatment.
