Este trabajo tuvo como objetivo Determinar la efectividad de la técnica del cepillado en el índice de higiene bucal de estudiantes con capacidades especiales, se utilizó una metodología hipotética, cuantitativa con una muestra de los sujetos de este estudio incluyeron 67 estudiantes con capacidades especiales de la ciudad de Lima. Los resultados revelaron que el índice antes de la técnica presentó una media de 3,50; mediana de 3,22 con registro mínimo de 1,50 y máximo de 6,0 y el índice después de la técnica presentó una media de 2,42; mediana de 2,42 con registro mínimo de 0,3 y máximo de 6,0; por otro lado, el análisis estadístico demostró influencia (p<0,00); estos resultados evidencian que la efectividad de la técnica de cepillado de Barrido disminuye significantemente el IHOS en los alumnos con habilidades especiales (Sig. asintótica =0,00 < 0,05) apreciándose una media del índice de 3.50 antes de la enseñanza de la técnica y una media del índice de 2.42 posterior a la técnica.
Resumen
The objective of this work was to determine the effectiveness of the brushing technique in the oral hygiene index of students with special abilities. A hypothetical, quantitative methodology was used with a sample of the subjects of this study, including 67 students with special abilities from the city. from Lima. The results revealed that the index before the technique had a mean of 3.50; median of 3.22 with a minimum of 1.50 and maximum of 6.0 and the index after the technique presented a mean of 2.42; median of 2.42 with a minimum record of 0.3 and a maximum of 6.0; On the other hand, the statistical analysis demonstrated influence (p<0.00); These results show that the effectiveness of the Sweep brushing technique significantly reduces the IHOS in students with special abilities (asymptotic Sig. =0.00 < 0.05), with an average index of 3.50 before teaching the technique. And a mean index of 2.42 after the technique.
