Relación entre el tipo de sonrisa y el fenotipo gingival de pacientes atendidos en la clínica Víctor Raúl Haya de la Torre, 2023

Abstract

Objetivo: El objetivo general de la investigación fue determinar la relación entre el tipo de sonrisa y el fenotipo gingival en pacientes atendidos en la clínica Víctor Raúl Haya de la Torre, 2023. Fue un estudio de tipo correlacional, aplicado, trasversal y prospectivo, la técnica aplicada fue la observación directa, con una ficha de recolección de datos como instrumento de estudio, la muestra estuvo constituida por 80 pacientes de la clínica dental Víctor Raúl Haya de la Torre atendido en el año 2023. Resultados: El tipo de sonrisa más frecuente en la muestra de estudio fue la sonrisa alta con un 42.5%, el fenotipo gingival más frecuente fue delgado con un 60%, el tipo de sonrisa alta y su relacion con el fenotipo gingival más frecuente fue el delgado con un 88.2% (N°=30), el tipo de sonrisa media y su relacion con el fenotipo gingival más frecuente fue el delgado en un 54.8% y el tipo de sonrisa baja su fenotipo gingival más frecuente fue gruesa en un 93.3% (N°=14), a la estadística inferencial y aplicación de la prueba chi cuadrado de Pearson se obtuvo un al p-valor = 0.000. Se concluye que al obtener un p-valor = 0.000 < 0.05, existe una relación entre el tipo de sonrisa y el fenotipo gingival en pacientes atendidos en la clínica Víctor Raúl Haya de la Torre, 2023.

Objective: The general objective of the research was to determine the relationship between the type of smile and the periodontal biotype in patients treated at the Víctor Raúl Haya de la Torre clinic, 2023. It was a correlational, applied, transversal and prospective study. The technique applied was direct observation, with a data collection sheet as a study instrument, the sample consisted of 80 patients from the Víctor Raúl Haya de la Torre dental clinic treated in 2023. Results: The most frequent type of smile In the study sample it was the tall smile with 42.5%, the most frequent periodontal biotype was thin with 60%, the tall smile type and its relationship with the most frequent periodontal biotype was thin with 88.2% (No. =30), the type of medium smile and its relationship with the most frequent periodontal biotype was thin in 54.8% and the most frequent type of smile in the low smile type was thick in 93.3% (N°=14), a Inferential statistics and application of Pearson's chi-square test resulted in a p-value = 0.000. It is concluded that by obtaining a p-value = 0.000 < 0.05, there is a relationship between the type of smile and the periodontal biotype in patients treated at the Víctor Raúl Haya de la Torre clinic, 2023.
