Los factores predisponentes y el asma en niños menores de 5 años en un hospital de Lima, 2026

Abstract

El objetivo del proyecto es “Determinar la relación que existe entre los factores predisponentes y el asma en niños menores de 5 años en un hospital de Lima, 2026”. Para ello, la metodología adoptada considera un enfoque cuantitativo, método hipotético-deductivo, tipo aplicada, con diseño no experimental, corte transversal y alcance correlacional; asimismo, la población estará conformada por 70 padres o apoderados de niños menores de cinco años atendidos en el servicio de pediatría de un hospital y la muestra será de 60 participantes, seleccionados mediante muestreo probabilístico aleatorio simple. La recolección de información se realizará mediante registro estructurado, combinando encuesta y observación clínica, aplicando dos instrumentos: para la variable factores predisponentes, se empleará la ficha de recolección y para la variable asma, se utilizará la ficha de evaluación clínica basada en el Pulmonary Score. Respecto a la validez, el instrumento 1 fue sometido a juicio de expertos y reporta V de Aiken = 0,86; mientras que el instrumento 2 sustenta validez de constructo y de criterio del Pulmonary Score (correlación con PEFR) y, adicionalmente, fue validado por tres jueces, obteniéndose V de Aiken = 1,00 (p = 0,001). En cuanto a la confiabilidad, se reportó Alfa de Cronbach = 0,812 (instrumento 1) y 0,810 (instrumento 2). El procesamiento de los datos se realizará en Microsoft Excel y SPSS versión 26.0. El análisis incluirá estadística descriptiva mediante tablas de frecuencias, porcentajes y figuras. Asimismo, se aplicará una prueba de normalidad para determinar la distribución de los datos y seleccionar la prueba inferencial correspondiente, utilizándose el coeficiente de correlación de Pearson o Spearman para la contrastar las hipótesis.

The objective of this project is to "Determine the relationship between predisposing factors and asthma in children under 5 years of age in a hospital in Lima, 2026." The methodology adopted employs a quantitative approach, a hypothetical-deductive method, and an applied research design, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional, and correlational scope. The population will consist of 70 parents or guardians of children under five years of age treated in the pediatric service of a hospital, and the sample will comprise 60 participants, selected through simple random probability sampling. Data collection will be carried out using a structured record, combining a survey and clinical observation, applying two instruments: a data collection form for the predisposing factors variable and a clinical evaluation form based on the Pulmonary Score for the asthma variable. Regarding validity, instrument 1 was submitted to expert review and reported an Aiken's V of 0.86. Instrument 2 supports the construct and criterion validity of the Pulmonary Score (correlation with PEFR) and was also validated by three judges, yielding Aiken's V = 1.00 (p = 0.001). Regarding reliability, Cronbach's Alpha was reported as 0.812 (instrument 1) and 0.810 (instrument 2). Data processing will be performed using Microsoft Excel and SPSS version 26.0. The analysis will include descriptive statistics using frequency tables, percentages, and figures. A normality test will also be applied to determine the data distribution and select the corresponding inferential test, using Pearson's or Spearman's correlation coefficient to test the hypotheses.
