Índices eritrocitarios y hierro sérico como parámetros de diagnóstico y prevención de anemia ferropénica en adultos, Los Olivos, 2024

Abstract

La presencia de la anemia ferropénica ha sido una detección de atención primaria en la salud pública, siendo problema la deficiencia del hierro, siendo una condición de alteración hematológica sobre su estado anémico, que ha perjudicado en su carencia nutricional conllevando a la carencia de hierro que necesita el organismo, afectado al hematíe en el color, tamaño, y forma del hematíe por medio de los índices eritrocitarios. Tiene como objetivo: “Determinar la relación que existe entre los índices eritrocitarios y hierro sérico como parámetros de diagnóstico y prevención de anemia ferropénica en adultos, Los Olivos, 2024”. Realizado por el instrumento de recolección de datos, con una muestra de 375 pacientes adultos entre 18 a 65 años de edad. En una investigación explicativa por el cual, se busca el comportamiento de causa y efecto del hierro sérico en función con los índices eritrocitarios, es retrospectivo y de corte transversal, puesto que, los datos analizados serán del mes noviembre 2023 hasta noviembre 2024, siendo recolectado en un lugar determinado. Luego, se procederá a realizar el análisis estadístico utilizando el método adecuado para evaluar la variable numérica (dependiente) y la variable categórica (independiente), utilizando la prueba de Chi-cuadrado y correlación de Spearman, verificando la correlación de variables. Los resultados fueron una relación significativa entre los niveles de hierro y los índices eritrocitarios (X2= 0.000) siendo dependientes y los valores específicos de 0.951, 0.553 y -0.394, obteniendo con certeza una relación positiva.

The presence of iron deficiency anemia has been a primary care detection in public health, being a problem of iron deficiency, being a condition of hematological alteration on its anemic state, which has harmed its nutritional deficiency leading to the lack of iron that the body needs, affecting the red blood cell in color, size, and shape of the red blood cell through erythrocyte indices. Its objective is: "To determine the relationship that exists between erythrocyte indices and serum iron as parameters for the diagnosis and prevention of iron deficiency anemia in adults, Los Olivos, 2024." Carried out by the data collection instrument, with a sample of 375 adult patients between 18 and 65 years of age. In an explanatory investigation that seeks the cause-and-effect behavior of serum iron based on erythrocyte indices, it is retrospective and cross-sectional, since the data analyzed will be from November 2023 to November 2024, being collected in a specific location. Then, the statistical analysis will be performed using the appropriate method to evaluate the numerical variable (dependent) and the categorical variable (independent), using the Chi-square test and Spearman correlation, verifying the correlation of variables. The results were a significant relationship between iron levels and erythrocyte indices (X2 = 0.000), being dependent and the specific values of 0.951, 0.553 and -0.394, obtaining a positive relationship with certainty.
