Factores de riesgo en diabetes mellitus asociado a disfunción eréctil en varones diabéticos que acuden a una botica. Pueblo Libre, 2021

Abstract

Diabetes is the most common organic cause of erectile dysfunction and sexual dissatisfaction disorders. Objective: To determine whether there is a relationship between risk factors in Diabetes Mellitus and erectile dysfunction in diabetic men attending a pharmacy in Pueblo Libre – 2021. Method: The deductive method was used, with a quantitative approach, basic type of study, non-experimental design, descriptive, correlational, prospective, and cross-sectional. A non-probabilistic quota sampling was applied. The technique used was the survey, and the instrument was a questionnaire. Results: Out of 132 diabetic men, the identified risk factors were: age between 51 and 60 years with 88.6%; education level, technical studies 55.3% and university studies 38.6%; marital status, married 34.1% and widowed 30.3%. Regarding psychosocial factors, 59.8% reported being easily stressed, 54.5% experienced depression, and 74.2% reported anxiety or distress. With respect to harmful habits, 79.5% smoked daily, 59.8% consumed alcohol weekly, and 80.3% led a sedentary lifestyle. As for clinical manifestations, 54.5% had difficulty achieving an erection, 50.8% had difficulty maintaining an erection, and 59.8% reported a decreased sexual desire. Regarding erection rigidity, 74.2% stated that their penis increased in size but was not firm enough for intercourse, 70.5% reported that it was firm but insufficient for penetration, and 75.0% reported not having the penis both firm and rigid at the same time. Concerning sexual desire, 59.8% reported almost never having sexual fantasies.

La Diabetes es la causa orgánica más común de Disfunción Eréctil y trastorno de insatisfacción sexual. Objetivo. Determinar si existe relación entre los factores de riesgo en Diabetes Mellitus con la Disfunción Eréctil en varones diabéticos que acuden a una botica, Pueblo Libre – 2021. Método. Se utilizó el método deductivo, enfoque cuantitativo, tipo de estudio básico, diseño no experimental, descriptivo, correlacional, prospectivo y transversal, muestreo no probabilístico por cuotas, la técnica fue la encuesta, el instrumento un cuestionario. Resultados. De 132 varones diabéticos; los factores de riesgo fueron, edad entre 51- 60 años con 88,6% , estudios técnicos 55,3%, universitarios 38,6%, casados 34,1%, viudos 30,3%; en factores psicosociales, 59,8% se estresaron fácilmente,54,5% se deprimieron, 74,2% estuvieron angustiados - ansiosos; en hábitos nocivos 79,5% fumaban diariamente, 59,8% consumían alcohol semanal, sedentarios 80,3%; en manifestaciones clínicas, 54,5% dificultad para tener erección, 50,8% dificultad para mantener una erección, 59,8% disminución del deseo sexual; en rigidez de erección 74,2% sintieron que su pene aumenta de tamaño pero no está firme para el coito, 70,5% el pene estuvo firme pero no lo suficiente para penetrar, 75,0% no tuvieron el pene firme ni rígido a la vez; en deseo sexual 59,8% casi nunca tuvieron fantasías sexuales.
