Efectividad del aceite esencial de mintostachys mollis griseb en concentraciones de 25%, 50% y 100% frente a porphiromonas gingivales ATCC ® 33277™ en el laboratorio scientific quality, 2023

Abstract

La actual investigación propuso determinar la efectividad del aceite esencial de Mintostachys mollis Griseb en concentraciones de 25%, 50% y 100% frente a Porphiromonas gingivales ATCC® 33277™. Se realizó una investigación cuantitativa, aplicado, de tipo experimental, transversal con alcance descriptivo; se analizaron 08 muestras para ver el impacto de las niveles del aceite esencial de Mintostachys mollis frente a Porphyromonas gingivalis ATCC 33277 a las 24, 48 y 72 horas de examen. Se pudo evidenciar que los aceites esenciales de Mintostachys mollis al 100% y 50% presentaron una media halo de bloqueo de 14,50 ± 1,068 mm y de 12,54 ± 0,465 mm, al 25% no registró actividad antibacteriana en este periodo de tiempo, control positivo, ciprofloxacino de 500mg, una media halo de bloqueo de 32,04 ± 0,830 mm a las 24 horas respectivamente, a las 48 horas las concentraciones al 100% y 50% presentaron una media halo de bloqueo de 14,11 ± 1,050 mm y de 12,23 ± 0,497 mm, al 25% no registró actividad antibacteriana, el ciprofloxacino de 500mg, obtuvo una media halo de bloqueo de 31,74 ± 0,794mm, a las 72 horas las concentraciones al 100% y 50% presentaron una media halo de bloqueo de 13,82 ± 1,065 mm y de 11,93 ± 0,494 mm al 25% no registró actividad antibacteriana, el ciprofloxacino de 500mg, obtuvo una media halo de bloqueo 31,42 ± 0,774mm. Frente a Porphyromonas gingivalis ATCC 33277, se puede concluir que los promedios de los aceites esenciales de Minthostachys mollis al 25% no ningún efecto antibacteriano, al 50% y 100% tienen efecto bacteriano pero menor que la actividad biocida del Ciprofloxacino de 500mg, a las 24, 48 y 72 horas de estudio.

The current research proposed to determine The effectiveness of Mintostachys mollis griseb essential oil at concentrations of 25%, 50% and 100% against Porphiromonas gingivalis ATCC® 33277™. A quantitative, applied, experimental, cross-sectional research with descriptive scope was carried out; 08 samples were analysed to see the impact of the levels of Mintostachys mollis essential oil against Porphyromonas gingivalis ATCC 33277 at 24, 48 and 72 hours of examination. It could be seen that the essential oils of Mintostachys mollis at 100% and 50% showed a mean blocking halo of 14.50 ± 1.068 mm and 12.54 ± 0.465 mm, at 25% there was no antibacterial activity in this period of time, positive control, ciprofloxacin 500mg, a mean blocking halo of 32.04 ± 0.830 mm at 24 hours respectively, at 48 hours the concentrations at 100% and 50% showed a mean blocking halo of 14.11 ± 1.050 mm and at 72 hours a mean blocking halo of 12.54 ± 0.465 mm, 11 ± 1.050 mm and 12.23 ± 0.497 mm, at 25% there was no antibacterial activity, ciprofloxacin 500mg, obtained a mean blocking halo of 31.74 ± 0.794 mm, at 72 hours the concentrations at 100% and 50% showed a mean blocking halo of 13.82 ± 1.065 mm and 11.93 ± 0.494 mm at 25% with no antibacterial activity, ciprofloxacin 500 mg showed a mean blocking halo of 31.42 ± 0.774 mm. Against Porphyromonas gingivalis ATCC 33277, it can be concluded that the averages of the essential oils of Minthostachys mollis at 25% have no antibacterial effect, at 50% and 100% they have a bacterial effect but less than the biocidal activity of Ciprofloxacin 500mg, at 24, 48 and 72 hours of study.
