Relación entre microalbuminuria y niveles de hemoglobina glicosilada en pacientes con diabetes mellitus tipo II, Hospital Nacional Arzobispo Loayza, de junio – diciembre 2022

Abstract

Introducción: La Diabetes Mellitus tipo II es una enfermedad crónica que afecta cuando el cuerpo no metaboliza la glucosa y se caracteriza por la resistencia a la insulina, donde las células no responden adecuadamente a la acción de la insulina. Objetivo: Establecer la relación entre microalbuminuria y los Niveles de Hemoglobina Glicosilada en pacientes con diabetes mellitus tipo II, Hospital Nacional Arzobispo Loayza, de Junio – diciembre 2022. Material y Método: Estudio de tipo no experimental, cuantitativo e inductivo de corte transversal y retrospectivo, la población de estudio estuvo conformada por historias clínicas de pacientes diabéticos tipo II que se atendieron en el Hospital Nacional Arzobispo Loayza, durante el periodo de 1 de junio hasta el 31 de diciembre del 2022, los datos que se recolectaron se analizaron empleando un software Microsft office 2013 (Excel) y sistema estadístico SPSS 23. Resultados: Se analizaron 120 muestras, los cuales 110 (91,67%) obtuvieron valores elevados de hemoglobina glicosilada y 10 (8,33%) obtuvieron valores normales, 73 fueron de mujer (59,95%) y 47 de hombres (61,35%). En lo que refiere a los valores obtenidos para la microalbuminuria, 99 (82,50%) obtuvieron valores elevados y 21 (17,50%) obtuvieron valores normales, 73 fueron de mujer (59,95%) y 47 fueron de hombres (61,35%). Se aplicó para nuestro estudio el coeficiente de correlación de Spearman, que si tuvo correlación entre la microalbuminuria y la hemoglobina glicosilada. Conclusiones: El coeficiente de correlación de Spearman determinó que si existe una correlación positiva baja entre microalbuminuria y hemoglobina glicosilada en la población estudiada.

Introduction: Type II Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease that affects when the body does not metabolize glucose and is characterized by insulin resistance, where cells do not respond adequately to the action of insulin. Objective: To establish the relationship between microalbuminuria and Glycosylated Hemoglobin Levels in patients with type II diabetes mellitus, Arzobispo Loayza National Hospital, from June - December 2022. Material and Method: Non-experimental, quantitative and inductive cross-sectional and retrospective study, the study population consisted of medical records of type II diabetic patients who were treated at the Arzobispo Loayza National Hospital, during the period from June 1 to December 31, 2022, the data that was collected was analyzed using Microsft office 2013 software (Excel) and SPSS 23 statistical system. Results: 120 samples were analyzed, of which 110 (91.67%) had elevated values of glycosylated hemoglobin and 10 (8.33%) had normal values, 73 were from women (59.95%) and 47 from men (61.35%). Regarding the values obtained for microalbuminuria, 99 (82.50%) had elevated values and 21 (17.50%) had normal values, 73 were from women (59.95%) and 47 were from men (61.35%). The Spearman correlation coefficient was applied for our study, which did have a correlation between microalbuminuria and glycosylated hemoglobin. Conclusions: The Spearman correlation coefficient determined that there is a low positive correlation between microalbuminuria and glycosylated hemoglobin in the studied population.
