Estrés laboral y estrategias de afrontamiento en el personal de enfermería del Hospital Goyeneche, Arequipa - 2023

Abstract

Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el estrés laboral y las estrategias de afrontamiento utilizadas en el personal de enfermería del Hospital Goyeneche, Arequipa - 2023. Material y método: se utilizó el método hipotético deductivo con enfoque cuantitativo de naturaleza aplicada y nivel descriptivo-correlacional. El diseño del estudio fue no experimental, de corte transversal. La muestra contemplo la participación de 166 profesionales de enfermería del Hospital Goyeneche. Se utilizó la Escala de Estrés - NSS (nursing stress scale) y el COPE-28 como instrumentos para evaluar las variables. Resultados: se obtuvo una correlación significativa entre el estrés laboral y las estrategias de afrontamiento utilizadas por el personal de enfermería del Hospital Goyeneche así como una asociación entre las tres dimensiones del estrés laboral, ambiente físico y las estrategias de afrontamiento, con un coeficiente de 0.633 y un nivel de significancia de .000; entre el ambiente psicológico y las estrategias de afrontamiento, con un coeficiente de 0.688 y .000 de significancia; así como para el ambiente social un coeficiente de 0.715 y un nivel de significancia de .000. Conclusión: existe relación entre el estrés laboral y las estrategias de afrontamiento, respaldando el objetivo general planteado. Además, se han identificado relaciones significativas entre las distintas dimensiones del estrés laboral y las estrategias de afrontamiento, cumpliendo así con los objetivos específicos del estudio.

Objective: determine the connection between job stress and coping mechanisms among nursing personnel of the Goyeneche Hospital, Arequipa - 2023. Material and method: a quantitative approach employing a hypothetical-deductive method was utilized, of a basic nature and a descriptive-correlational level. The study design was non-experimental, cross-sectional. The sample included the participation of 166 166 nurses working in the Goyeneche Hospital. The Stress Scale - NSS (nursing stress scale) and the COPE-28 were used as instruments to evaluate the variables. Results: a significant correlation was obtained between work stress and the coping strategies used by the nursing staff of the Goyeneche Hospital, as well as an association between the three dimensions of work stress, physical environment and coping strategies, with a coefficient of 0.633. and a significance level of .000; between the psychological environment and coping strategies, with a coefficient of 0.688 and .000 of significance; as well as for the social environment a coefficient of 0.715 and a significance level of .000. Conclusion: the findings indicate that there is a correlation between job stress and coping strategies, supporting the general objective set. In addition, significant relationships have been identified between the different dimensions of work stress and coping strategies, thus meeting the specific objectives of the study.
