Objetivo: Determinar os factores de riesgo asociados al fallo en el destete de la ventilación mecánica en pacientes adultos. Material y método: Se realizará un estudio de diseño no experimental, retrospectivo, de tipo observacional y analítico, de enfoque cuantitativo; utilizando 270 historias clínicas de pacientes adultos que fueron sometidos a ventilación mecánica, medio por el cual se obtendrá información detallada sobre el proceso de destete y si este fue fallido o no. Se analizará el total de la muestra cumpliendo los criterios de inclusión. El instrumento a utilizar será una ficha de recolección de datos adaptada de la tesis de Castillo Saavedra titulado “Factores de riesgo para fallo en el destete por ventilación mecánica invasiva en los adultos”. Resultados: la información obtenida a través de la ficha será codificada y almacenada en la base de datos del programa Microsoft Excel; los resultados se ofrecerán en forma de tablas y otras gráficas, en este sentido, permitirán facilitar la interpretación y discusión de los resultados en relación a los objetivos planteados en la investigación.
Resumen
Objective: To determine the risk factors associated with failure in weaning from mechanical ventilation in adult patients. Material and method: A non-experimental, retrospective, observational, and analytical study with a quantitative approach will be conducted using 270 medical records of adult patients who underwent mechanical ventilation. This will provide detailed information on the weaning process and whether it was successful or unsuccessful. The entire sample will be analyzed, meeting the inclusion criteria. The instrument used will be a data collection form adapted from the thesis by Castillo Saavedra entitled “Risk factors for failure in weaning from invasive mechanical ventilation in adults.” Results: The information obtained through the form will be coded and stored in the Microsoft Excel database. The results will be presented in the form of tables and other graphs; in this sense, they will facilitate the interpretation and discussion of the results in relation to the research objectives.
