The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between nurses' level of knowledge about caring for ostomy patients and their clinical practices in the post-anesthesia recovery area of a hospital in Lima during 2025. The research stems from the need to understand how the theoretical and technical expertise of nursing professionals influences the provision of safe and timely care, considering that proper management reduces periostomal complications, promotes patient recovery, and optimizes care processes. The findings will identify training gaps and contribute to the design of training and continuous improvement strategies aimed at strengthening the skills of nursing staff in a critical service such as post-anesthesia care. The study adopts a quantitative, applied approach with a non-experimental, cross-sectional, and correlational design. The hypothetical-deductive method will be used, beginning with a theoretical analysis of ostomy care to formulate the hypothesis and then verifying it through data analysis. The population will consist of 130 nursing professionals working in the post-anesthesia recovery area, from which a probabilistic sample will be selected using simple random sampling, amounting to 98 participants. To measure the relationship between knowledge and practices, a standardized and validated questionnaire will be applied, the results of which will be analyzed using Spearman's Rho coefficient, allowing the strength and direction of the correlation between both variables to be determined.en_US
