Preeclampsia severa de inicio precoz y tardío relacionado al retardo del crecimiento intrauterino en el Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo, 2024

Abstract

El estudio buscó determinar de qué manera la Preeclampsia Severa de inicio precoz (<34 semanas) y de inicio tardío (≥34 semanas) se asocia con la presencia de Retardo del Crecimiento Intrauterino en gestantes atendidas en el Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo durante el 2024. Utilizando un método deductivo, con enfoque cuantitativo, descriptivo y retrospectivo, se analizaron 280 historias clínicas. Los resultados mostraron que la forma de inicio más frecuente fue la Preeclampsia tardía, representando el 75% de los casos. Por su parte, la Preeclampsia Severa de inicio precoz presentó en el 25%. Otro dato es que el (32.5%) de recién nacidos presentaron Retardo del Crecimiento Intrauterino (RCIU), por el contrario, el (67.5%) de los casos no se diagnosticó Retardo del Crecimiento Intrauterino (RCIU). Se concluye que existe una asociación estadísticamente significativa entre la Preeclampsia Severa de inicio precoz y tardía y la presencia de Retardo del Crecimiento Intrauterino (p<0.001).

The study sought to determine how Severe Preeclampsia of early onset (<34 weeks) and late onset (≥34 weeks) is associated with the presence of Intrauterine Growth Retardation in pregnant women attended at the Teaching Regional Hospital of Trujillo during 2024. Using a deductive method, with a quantitative, descriptive, and retrospective approach, 280 clinical histories were analyzed. The results showed that the most frequent form of onset was late preeclampsia, accounting for 75% of cases. Severe early-onset preeclampsia was present in 25%. Another fact is that (32.5%) of newborns had intrauterine growth retardation (IUGR), by contrast, (67.5%) of cases were not diagnosed with IUGR. It is concluded that there is a statistically significant association between early and late onset severe preeclampsia and the presence of intrauterine growth retardation (p<0.001).
