Estrés laboral y desempeño del profesional de enfermería del servicio de emergencia de un hospital público de Lima – 2025

Abstract

El objetivo de la presente indagación es determinar cuál es la relación entre el estrés laboral y desempeño del profesional de enfermería en el servicio de emergencia de un hospital. En la metodología se empleará el método hipotético-deductivo, con un enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo aplicada, con un diseño experimental, correlacional y de corte transversal. La población estará conformada por 87 enfermeras que laboran en el área de emergencia del Hospital Nacional Hipólito Unanue durante el mes de noviembre del 2025 y la muestra será censal, por tanto, será el equivalente a la población de estudio. El tipo de muestreo será no probabilístico y se tomará las unidades de estudio de forma intencional o por convicción. La técnica será la encuesta y se aplicarán como instrumentos, dos cuestionarios válidos y confiables: el primero se denomina Nursing Stress Scale (NSS) que medirá la variable estrés laboral y el segundo se titula cuestionario de desempeño laboral, que medirá el desempeño laboral en el personal enfermero. Para el análisis de datos, primero se agrupará la información en el programa Excel, luego será codificada y procesada en el software SPSS, versión 26.0. De este modo, se obtendrá la estadística descriptiva lo que permitirá presentar los datos numéricos obtenidos mediante cuadros estadísticos con porcentajes y tablas. Se empleará la estadística inferencial para validar las hipótesis a través del coeficiente de correlación Rho de Spearman (p valor<0.05) o Chi cuadrado de Pearson, según la normalidad de las variables mediante el coeficiente Kolmogórov-Smirnov.

The objective of this research is to determine the relationship between work stress and the performance of nursing professionals in the emergency service of a hospital. The methodology will use the hypothetical-deductive method, with a quantitative, applied approach, with an experimental, correlational and cross-sectional design. The population will be made up of 87 nurses who work in the emergency area of the Hipolito Unanue National Hospital during the month of November 2024 and the sample will be census-based, therefore, it will be equivalent to the study population. The type of sampling will be non-probabilistic and the study units will be taken intentionally or by conviction. The technique will be the survey and two valid and reliable questionnaires will be applied as instruments: the first is called Nursing Stress Scale (NSS) that will measure the variable work stress and the second is called job performance questionnaire, which will measure job performance in nursing staff. For data analysis, the information will first be grouped in the Excel program, then it will be coded and processed in the SPSS software, version 26.0. In this way, descriptive statistics will be obtained, which will allow the numerical data obtained to be presented through statistical tables with percentages and tables. Inferential statistics will be used to validate the hypotheses through the Spearman Rho correlation coefficient (p value <0.05) or Pearson Chi square, according to the normality of the variables through the Kolmogorov Smirnov coefficient.
