Factores relacionados al uso del implante subdérmico en usuarias atendidas en el Hospital San Juan de Lurigancho, 2024

Abstract

El objetivo del presente estudio es determinar los factores relacionados al uso del implante subdérmico en las usuarias atendidas en el Hospital San Juan Lurigancho durante el año 2024. Diseño no experimental, retrospectivo, con muestra de 287 historias clínicas. Los resultados evidencian 38,7% fueron solteras; 36,6% nivel secundario; 52,3% edades de 18 y 29 años y 10,1% con implante entre 30 y 39 años. 9,4% que optaron por el implante es independiente. La edad, ocupación y religión, se encuentran asociadas al uso del implante subdérmico con p valor inferior a 0,05. 9,1% de 20 y 24 años. 30,3% sin utilizar y sin hijos; 7,0% si utilizan y presentan dos hijos a más. 15,7% no lo utilizo y optaron por método natural. Concluyendo que la edad de primer embarazo, periodo intergenésico, número de hijos y tipo de método anticonceptivo utilizado anteriormente se encuentran asociadas, con p-valor inferior a 0,05. 33,4% no usan el implante subdérmico y tuvieron como fuente de información a la planificación familiar y 7,0% usa el implante y se informó a través de charla. 60,6% no usa el implante subdérmico siendo personal de salud que informó y 18,1% si utiliza el implante.

The objective of this study is to determine the factors related to the use of subdermal implants in users treated at San Juan Lurigancho Hospital during 2024. Non-experimental, retrospective design, with a sample of 287 medical records. The results show that 38.7% were single; 36.6% had a secondary education; 52.3% were between 18 and 29 years old; and 10.1% with implants were between 30 and 39 years old. 9.4% who opted for the implant were independent. Age, occupation, and religion are associated with the use of subdermal implants with a p-value less than 0.05. 9.1% were between 20 and 24 years old. 30.3% did not use implants and had no children; 7.0% used implants and had two or more children. 15.7% did not use implants and opted for natural methods. In conclusion, the age of first pregnancy, intergenetic period, number of children, and type of contraceptive method previously used are associated, with a p-value of less than 0.05. 33.4% do not use the subdermal implant and had family planning as their source of information, and 7.0% use the implant and were informed through a talk. 60.6% do not use the subdermal implant, having been informed by health personnel, and 18.1% do use the implant.
