The methodology was based on the scientific research method, applied research type, and a non-experimental, descriptive, cross-sectional research design. The study was carried out with a total population of 199 students from Norbert Wiener University who participated in the scientific research workshop course for graduates in Pharmacy and Biochemistry. The research findings show that among the students of the scientific research workshop at Norbert Wiener University, 78.4% had a high level of knowledge regarding the use of the pulse oximeter to assess hypoxia in suspected COVID-19 cases, while 16.6% had a regular level of knowledge. Additionally, 79.4% demonstrated an excellent level of knowledge of the use of the pulse oximeter to evaluate degrees of hypoxia in suspected COVID-19 cases, whereas 20.6% had a regular level of knowledge for this evaluation. It is concluded that more than one-third of the students from Norbert Wiener University participating in the scientific research workshop course for graduates in Pharmacy and Biochemistry presented a good level of knowledge regarding the use of the pulse oximeter to evaluate hypoxia in suspected COVID-19 cases.en_US
